Eyebrow grooming in Seocho, Seoul for thick brows: Minjei

My brows are dense and coarse, so I found it difficult to shape them whenever I groomed them myself. There were several times when I used an eyebrow razor and ended up with uneven brows. Wanting to find a shape that suited my face, I received an eyebrow consultation and grooming at Minjei Makeup Eyebrow Grooming, Gangnam Seocho Branch (민제이메이크업 눈썹정리 강남서초점).

Where is the studio, and what is it like?

The studio is in B1, Unit 107, 34 Hyoryeong-ro 77-gil, Seocho-gu, Seoul, South Korea. It was easy for me to get to from the Gangnam and Seocho area. The interior was clean and pleasant, so I felt comfortable during my visit.

How are dense brows assessed during the consultation?

Once I sat down, we began a one-to-one consultation that looked at my face shape, bone structure, and eye proportions. They explained how they would set the eyebrow angle, which made the grooming direction easy to understand.

They specifically pointed out why my brows had looked heavy and which areas could have some density removed for a softer, more feminine look. The explanations were easy to follow and the conversation was pleasant, so I felt at ease during the consultation.

Did eyebrow grooming hurt, and how did the shape change?

After the consultation, they reduced the density and shaped the line. As they groomed each hair, my dense, thick brows looked almost half as thin to me. I could feel my overall impression changing even during the process.

It did not hurt for me during the grooming. Their touch was delicate, so I could relax and leave it to them.

When I looked in the mirror afterward, my brows had a suitable thickness and a soft arch. Once my thick, strong-looking brows were tidied up, my appearance came closer to the softer impression I had wanted. Friends I met afterward also said that changing my brows had changed the feel of my face.

Do they also teach you how to draw your brows at home?

After the grooming, they taught me how to draw my brows on my own in a way that followed my natural eyebrow growth. I was also shown the eyebrow pencil and brow shadow used during the session. I noted down the products they recommended and bought them later, and drawing my brows in the morning became much easier using the method I learned.

Would I return?

I would like to return because I was satisfied not only with reducing the density, but also with learning a line that suited my face and how to draw it myself. However, it felt difficult to schedule an appointment at the time of my visit because there were many bookings.
