A must-visit on a Geobukseom date: Eobu Sinkwangho Geobukseom Branch and its eye-catching rainbow mulhoe

Eobu Sinkwangho Geobukseom Branch (어부신광호 거북섬점) is where you can try rainbow mulhoe packed with fresh seafood in Siheung's Geobukseom. If you are looking for a family meal or date spot near Oido, I recommend this place for its food, atmosphere and easy parking.
What is Eobu Sinkwangho Geobukseom Branch?

Eobu Sinkwangho is famous for fresh seafood dishes, and the rainbow mulhoe, which grabs your eyes the moment you see it, is said to be the signature. The weather has been so lovely lately, perfect for an outing, so I went on a date to Siheung's Geobukseom with my other half. We were wondering what special dish would be cool and appetite-boosting, and that's how we ended up at Eobu Sinkwangho, a Geobukseom favorite.
Since the rainbow mulhoe is the signature, I went in with big expectations. The signboard out front lists TV appearances like Live Today (생방송투데이) and 6 O'Clock My Hometown (6시내고향), and I could already feel the good-restaurant vibes. Let me tell you an honest, firsthand review of what I actually tasted.

Parking and atmosphere at Eobu Sinkwangho Geobukseom Branch
You can park in the underground car park of the Urban Stay building or along the road in front of the restaurant. Parking is one of the biggest worries on a day trip around Geobukseom or Oido, but luckily it was no problem here. Inside, the dining hall is spacious and pleasant, big enough for group dinners.

Photos of the signature dishes hang neatly on the walls, which really gets your mouth watering. With such a pleasant, stylish atmosphere, I immediately thought it would work well as a family-gathering spot near Oido too.

Every table has a tablet, so you can order conveniently while looking at photos of the menu, which I liked a lot.

What does the small rainbow mulhoe look and taste like?
We ordered the small rainbow mulhoe, the signature dish of Eobu Sinkwangho Geobukseom Branch. Once we had ordered, tidy side dishes were set out: silkworm pupae (beondegi), macaroni salad, seasoned bean sprouts, kimchi and cabbage salad.

Before long the rainbow mulhoe arrived in a big metal bowl, and both my other half and I couldn't help but gasp. Just like the name says, its colorful, vivid look was impossible to look away from.

A heap of pale raw fish sat in the middle, surrounded by fresh abalone, sea cucumber and sea squirt looking totally appetizing. Add red tomato, yellow bell pepper, green kiwi and flying fish roe, and it honestly felt like looking at a work of art.
I mixed the broth well and picked up the chewy fish, seafood and refreshing fruit together for a bite.

First, the sweet, tangy, cold broth filling my mouth was truly outstanding.

It wasn't too sharp, yet it had a great savory depth, so my spoon kept going back for more. It was addictive.

The crunchy texture of the seafood, the fresh sweetness of the fruit and the crispness of the vegetables came together in my mouth wonderfully. If you are looking for a mulhoe restaurant in the Jeongwang area, Eobu Sinkwangho's rainbow mulhoe is a must-try.

Finishing the rainbow mulhoe with somen noodles
Two neat bundles of somen (thin wheat noodles) come out with the rainbow mulhoe. Somen is the real finish for mulhoe, after all. I dropped the noodles into the leftover cold broth.

The sweet-tangy, rich broth soaked deep into every strand of the thin noodles, giving me a whole other treat, like eating spicy-tangy bibim guksu (mixed noodles).

Even though I was full, I experienced the magic of slurping it all down.

Is Eobu Sinkwangho good for a Geobukseom or Oido date or a family meal?
Everything about Eobu Sinkwangho Geobukseom Branch was good: the harmony of fresh seafood and colorful fruit, the pleasant dining hall and the convenient parking. On a Geobukseom date with my other half after a long while, Eobu Sinkwangho gave us a day of treating our mouths. If you are driving to Siheung's Geobukseom, Jeongwang or Oido, or planning a happy meal with people you care about, I recommend Eobu Sinkwangho Geobukseom Branch without hesitation.

I hope the cool, colorful flavors of the rainbow mulhoe make your day even more special.
