Dog-friendly Wangsimni café with chocolate pudding: Nerdy Blue Burrow

A rare leisurely weekend morning spent alone. I'd remembered hearing about a café with great vibes near Wangsimni Station, so I finally went to check it out. The exterior alone was oozing hip energy — here's my review of "Nerdy Blue Burrow."

Can you bring your dog into Nerdy Blue Burrow?

Nerdy Blue Burrow has a sign posted out front announcing that pets are welcome. As long as your dog is on a leash and vaccinated, they say any size is welcome.

Since they confirm inside that leash and vaccination are the only requirements — no size limit — this would be a great spot to bring your dog friends from home.

Low lighting, blue walls and sofa seats

The inside of Nerdy Blue Burrow is a touch dark, but a little sunlight filters in through a small window. That low lighting paired with the good music feels like Nerdy Blue Burrow's own signature charm.

There are plenty of comfortable tables in this cozy space, so it looks great whether you're coming with two people or four.

There are also sofa seats toward the back — cozy and warm, perfect for couples to sit together!

The combination of blue-painted walls and muted-tone wood tables is so pretty and gives off a hip vibe. The lighting scattered around the store especially adds a great mood.

Nerdy Blue Burrow menu and prices

Nerdy Blue Burrow offers a Burrow Signature Plate for ₩19,900. It's a generous combo of fresh cheesecake + banana pudding, classic financier + house-baked granola, and two cold brews.

Desserts can also be ordered individually — cheesecake, chocolate pudding, banana pudding, and financier are all great options to pair with coffee.

You can enjoy cold brew and hand-drip coffee of the month made from beans they personally select and roast. If you're not into coffee, I'd recommend the latte with raspberry syrup or the Nutella-loaded Nerdy Milk. They also serve cocktails and highballs, so this looks like a great spot to visit in the late evening too!

The little objects dotted around the café

Nerdy Blue Burrow is full of atmospheric little props inside — just looking around, time flew by.

Even the order counter is full of cute, hip little props. Great for taking photos.

The owner got right to work preparing the order as soon as it was placed. Even at a glance, the kitchen space looked neatly kept, so you can eat with peace of mind.

Chocolate pudding and the Peru anaerobic washed coffee of the month

What I ordered at Nerdy Blue Burrow was chocolate pudding and an iced coffee of the month. They came out before long!

The chocolate pudding I ordered wasn't the jiggly Japanese-style pudding — it had a creamy texture more like American-style pudding. On top of the dense, soft chocolate cream, chocolate chips, pretzels, and nuts were piled on generously.

When you order the coffee of the month, they give you a note explaining the beans, too — reading it while savoring the coffee somehow made it taste even more special. The Peru Las Tiringues anaerobic washed beans had a bit of acidity with a lingering, quiet finish — delicious, and easy to keep sipping.

Scooping up a bite of the creamy, thick chocolate pudding cream, the chocolate flavor came through rich and strong — the kind of taste that would drive chocolate lovers wild!

If it were just cream, you might get sick of it after a while, but with all the nuts, chocolate chips, pretzels, and bread mixed in, it was a happy bite the whole way through.

Is Nerdy Blue Burrow worth a solo visit?

If you're looking for a café near Wangsimni Station that's good for couples, or just as good to go to alone, I recommend "Nerdy Blue Burrow"!
