Is there a good Korean restaurant I can take my parents to?
It'd be nice if it were comfortable even with a big group…
With lots of side dishes, everyone could eat something they like, right?
Some people drive, some take the subway — would it be easy for everyone to get to?
When picking a spot for a family meal or gathering, taste alone isn't enough to decide, is it? You end up checking everything — whether the seats are spacious and comfortable, whether parking is easy, whether it's reachable by public transport too. I had the same worries, so I visited Gim Myeongju Tteuranchae Bapsang Sinjung-dong Branch. It turned out to be convenient by both car and public transport, with a spacious dining area and a variety of Korean dishes — a solid choice for a gathering spot. 😊

Where is Gim Myeongju Tteuranchae Bapsang Sinjung-dong Branch?
A Bucheon Korean restaurant easy to reach by car or subway
Gim Myeongju Tteuranchae Bapsang Sinjung-dong Branch is about 5 minutes' walk from Sinjungdong Station Exit 3. It's an easy spot to reach for anyone taking public transport, and the large sign on the building's exterior makes it easy to spot from a distance.

I liked that it's a location where people can gather easily even if everyone's using a different way to get there. The entrance had the menu and prices posted, so you can check ahead before going in. The first floor has a waiting area and a café, while the dining floors are upstairs.

Parking and getting to Sinjungdong Station Exit 3
Easy to visit by car when you bring your parents
Gim Myeongju Tteuranchae Bapsang Sinjung-dong Branch has its own parking lot on the building's 1st floor, so it was convenient to visit by car. We drove there ourselves, and since the restaurant and parking lot are in the same building, the route wasn't complicated at all.

If the dedicated lot is full, you can apparently use the nearby Jungdong Park Town parking tower and get 1 hour of parking support. Close to Sinjungdong Station and with its own parking lot, it's a well-located choice when looking for a spot for a family gathering or a group meal.
Inside Gim Myeongju Tteuranchae Bapsang: interior and atmosphere
Room for family meals and 20-person group gatherings
Walking in, the place was bigger than I expected. The gaps between tables were generous and everything felt neatly arranged overall. It's the kind of atmosphere where you can eat comfortably even in a large group without feeling cramped. There were also partitioned seats, so our party could eat a bit more privately.

The layout felt better suited to focused conversation than a fully open hall, which makes it a good fit as a Bucheon Korean restaurant gathering spot. The 3rd floor operates as a group reservation space, available for parties of 20 or more with a reservation 5 days in advance. It's a useful space for occasions with lots of people, like a parent's birthday, a family gathering, or a work dinner. Several children's chairs were also on hand, so families with kids could visit comfortably too 👶
Menu and prices: what the two-person meal cost
How the tteuranchae bapsang set plus one main dish works
The menu at Gim Myeongju Tteuranchae Bapsang Sinjung-dong Branch is split into tteuranchae jeongsik (set meals) and tteuranchae bapsang (table set). The dried corvina, soy crab, charcoal-grilled pork, and octopus sets are 31,000 won per person, while the cockle salad and grilled mackerel sets are 28,000 won per person.

If a full set feels like too much, you can order more lightly by adding an à la carte dish to the tteuranchae bapsang. It's 13,000 won per person and comes with pressure-cooked rice made from yellow rice milled that same day, cheonggukjang, and a variety of side dishes. However, the tteuranchae bapsang can't be ordered on its own — a table of four needs to add at least one à la carte dish. We ordered the two-person tteuranchae bapsang plus charcoal-grilled pork, for a total of 44,000 won.
What comes with the tteuranchae bapsang table set
A Korean table that suits different side-dish tastes
After ordering, we waited a bit and then various side dishes, cheonggukjang, and pressure-cooked rice all arrived at once. There was such a variety of side dishes that the table filled up quickly.

Namul (seasoned vegetables), kimchi, jangajji (pickled vegetables) — all the classic Korean side dishes that go well with rice came out evenly, and it was fun to taste each one. When several people eat together, everyone's favorite side dishes can be different, right? Here, there were enough varieties that everyone could pick what suited their taste. It was a good spread for visiting with everyone from grandparents to kids, each finding something they liked.
Charcoal-grilled pork with a smoky aroma
The main dish that paired best with the rice
The à la carte dish we chose was charcoal-grilled pork.

It came grilled nicely on the plate along with onions. The meat had a subtle charcoal aroma, so it was good on its own but also worked well paired with rice and side dishes. Eating it with the onions made the meat's flavor feel a bit softer too. The table was already generous with just the basic side dishes, but adding the charcoal pork made the meal much heartier. Rather than a quick meal, it felt more like a menu meant for slowly sharing many dishes with family. 😋
Savory cheonggukjang and pressure-cooked yellow rice
Warm rice and hot soup on the same Korean table
The cheonggukjang that came with the meal had tofu and vegetables in it, hot and good with rice.

After eating the main dish and side dishes, taking a spoonful of the cheonggukjang made it feel like a proper full Korean meal.

The pressure-cooked rice was prepared right after ordering, so it came out warm. According to the menu, they use yellow rice milled that same day and cook it in a pressure pot for about 10 minutes after ordering. After scooping out the rice, you can pour in water or warm tea to finish it off as a savory sungnyung (scorched rice tea). With the warm pressure-cooked rice and cheonggukjang together, it was a good fit for a meal with parents too.
🥗 Using the self-bar at Gim Myeongju Tteuranchae Bapsang
Refill as many side dishes as you like
There was a separate side-dish self-bar set up in one corner of the restaurant. You could go back for more of whichever side dishes from the initial spread you liked, and rice and water were also freely available as needed. Not having to call a staff member every time a side dish ran low made things easier when eating with a group. Being able to get extra side dishes and rice should be satisfying for anyone who wants to eat generously.

Next to the self-bar, there was plum tea and omija (schisandra berry) tea available to cleanse the palate. Beside the register, there was a machine for Americano and mix coffee that you could brew to your taste, plus a generous selection of snacks for sale haha. Freshly milled yellow rice was also available for purchase.

☕ Tteuranchae café on the 1st floor for after the meal
After finishing the meal, we also checked out the Tteuranchae café on the 1st floor.

Being able to have the meal and a drink in the same spot means you don't have to rush the gathering to an end — it's nice for chatting a bit longer.

Finding a café to go to after a family or friend gathering can be a whole extra step. Being able to have both the meal and coffee in the same building made the whole outing much more convenient.
✨ Verdict on Gim Myeongju Tteuranchae Bapsang Sinjung-dong Branch
Gim Myeongju Tteuranchae Bapsang Sinjung-dong Branch is an easy walk from Sinjungdong Station and also has its own parking lot in the building. That makes it a low-stress choice for gatherings mixing drivers and public transport users. With a spacious hall, partitioned seating, and a group reservation space, it works well for family gatherings or work dinners. With a full table of side dishes, cheonggukjang, and warm pressure-cooked rice, it made for a hearty Korean meal. If you're looking for a Bucheon restaurant that's convenient for both parking and public transport, and can suit a range of tastes, it's worth a visit. 😊 It seems like a place I'd think of again especially for a meal with parents, a family event, or a friend gathering where you want to talk comfortably over a long meal.
