Looking for a place in Bucheon that specializes in car seat laundry, I booked a visit with Ppallaebang Gajang and sent my car seat in for a wash. What a car seat looks like after 4 years of vacuuming only
First off, I've been using this car seat for going on 4 years now — it started with my first kid and has carried straight through to my second, from newborn to now. With that much use, upkeep really matters, but every time I only ever vacuumed it, never actually washed it. Regular bedding or clothes are easy enough to throw in the wash, but car seats, wagons and strollers aren't so simple.
On top of that, kids eat all sorts of snacks and treats, so the inside of a car seat can get pretty dirty. When I actually pulled the seat out of the car and checked, there were way more crumb traces than I expected.

I booked through Naver Reservation, and after they contacted me, I texted back my pickup address and details. They asked me to leave it outside my door on the requested day, and I set it out right on time.
Full disassembly wash and the microscope check
Gajang describes itself as washing baby gear with a dad's mindset — as clean and safe as possible — using a gentle, natural detergent. They also say they check even the hidden spots under a microscope and fully disassemble the seat to wash it thoroughly inside and out. Snack crumbs, milk spit-up, vomit stains buried deep in the seat fabric — there's a surprising amount of gunk you can't see with the naked eye, and it was reassuring to have that worry taken off my hands.
For sterilization, they use high-temp steam, UV sterilization, and natural detergent to thoroughly kill off harmful bacteria and mites — maybe that's why the post-wash microscope shots look so spotless!
How long does the cleaning take? 4 weekdays
After reassembling the seat, Gajang packages it safely and cleanly and delivers it right to your door — it took about 4 weekdays for mine. They contact you ahead of the delivery too, so you can plan around it with peace of mind — really convenient!
The car seat back at the door: what changed
Now the car seat is back! Time to check it with my own eyes. I brought it inside first and took a look.
The spots that used to be dirty with crumbs and stains were washed completely clean.
Sending the car seat off for laundry also gave me the chance to clean out the car, and refitting the freshly washed seat honestly made everything feel new again! If you have secondhand baby gear you can't easily wash at home, or a well-worn car seat or wagon like mine that needs a proper clean, and you're within 30 minutes of Bucheon, I'd say Gajang is well worth trying.
