I hadn't been to Wirye in a while, and I finally got to try Jackson Pizza, a place I'd been eyeing for ages. A Wirye local had recommended it, so I was super curious about this proper pizza spot!
Jackson Pizza also generously covers parking for up to 3 hours. That's plenty of time to eat pizza and then still fit in a Wirye dessert stop, so thumbs up. It's a great date spot in Wirye too.
The thoughtful service shows up all over the place. Pickup orders get 10% off, and pregnant guests get a free spaghetti or fries, they say. Thumbs up!
What is the atmosphere like inside Jackson Pizza Wirye Branch?
The inside has a totally American vibe. It felt like I'd suddenly traveled to the US! The dining hall is spacious and the tables are quite far apart, so it was nice for chatting over a meal.
It's clearly popular with little kids and families. We arrived before 5 p.m. and it was quiet at first, but it filled up in no time. From what I overheard... the kids' favorite pizza seemed to be the Five Star pizza, haha.
Each table has hot sauce, Parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes. I'll show you below, but enjoy your first bite plain, then definitely sprinkle on both the Parmesan and the pepper!!!!

How does the single-serve Legend pizza taste?
The Legend pizza has a layer of mellow basil pesto topped with loads of mascarpone cheese. We got the single-serve size, and it's soft and properly luxurious in flavor.
They give you ranch sauce by default (first time I've seen a place do that!), and the ranch is the kicker. They make it themselves, and dipping the pizza crust in it, you could honestly keep eating forever. Totally agree this is a Wirye Central Plaza pizza favorite.
What is the Geto Bolognese with 7-hour ragù like?
The Geto Bolognese is a pasta made with ragù simmered for 7 hours in the shop, they say. They pour on cheese almost to overflowing, so it's properly thick and rich. I've never been to the US... but I bet it tastes like this, haha.
Are the crispy hot tenders very spicy?
The crispy hot tenders are bigger than I expected, and spicier than I expected too. One was about the size of my palm. The chicken inside is super juicy, and it's even better dipped in the Cajun sauce.
Is Jackson Pizza Wirye Branch worth a return visit?
