Hi everyone :) It's Gaemi 🐜, the owner of Healing Camp~ Today, after work, I went with my company coworkers to Gankeun Galbi Seongseo Branch (간큰갈비 성서점), a pork rib restaurant in Igok-dong, Seongseo, Daegu.

Here's the entrance to Gankeun Galbi Seongseo Branch, a pork rib spot in Igok-dong, Seongseo, Daegu. It's about 550m from Exit 7 of Seongseo Industrial Complex Station on Line 2, located inside the Seongseo Shopping World food court.

If you're driving, there's a dedicated parking lot right below the restaurant. When you leave, insert the token you get from the restaurant and the barrier will open.

It's a great restaurant in Igok-dong, Seongseo for families with kids since there's a playroom for them to run around in. Note that the kids' zone is off-limits to middle schoolers and older.

How the self-bar works and how to order pork ribs

In the center of the restaurant there's a spacious self-bar and dessert corner. If you order a single meat dish instead of the buffet, you can't use the all-you-can-eat self-bar.

Aprons are available at the self-bar.

Leave a Naver receipt review and get a free naengmyeon (cold noodles) or doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew) — your choice.

You browse the menu and order easily from the tablet installed at each table. The all-you-can-eat price varies depending on the meat combination, not just pork rib. You can also order single meat dishes outside the buffet.

We ordered the pork rib all-you-can-eat for 5 people.

After ordering, we brought over food from the self-bar. There's a wide variety of side dishes, a meat corner just for the buffet, fried snacks, tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes) and chicken. After the meat, make sure to boil yourself some self-serve ramyeon too.

How do the charcoal-grilled seasoned pork ribs taste?

We piled the pork ribs generously onto a plate.

Since the pork ribs are marinated, flip them front and back often so they don't burn. Move the fully cooked pieces to the edge, and keep putting fresh marinated ribs in the center so you don't run out while eating. There are spare grill plates next to the table, so swap them out yourself when needed.

The pork ribs grilled over charcoal taste even better and looked perfectly cooked. The balance of fat and lean meat was great, and the slightly sweet marinade soaked in nicely, making it delicious. The meat was also very tender and mild.

It's delicious with green onion shreds on top, or dipped in the onion sauce — both were great.

Pile it on lettuce and make a big wrap too.

We also ordered one bottle each of soju and beer, mixing up some cold somaek to go with the pork ribs. There are various drinks available at the self-corner too, so a cold soda would be nice to wash it down with.
