On a day when you want meat, it's kind of a shame to pick just one menu, right? Sometimes you want pork belly, but you also want pork rib, and then you start thinking about makchang (grilled pork intestine) too. This time I went to Gankeun Galbi Seongseo Branch in Seongseo, Daegu, a spot that solves this exact dilemma in one go.
Gankeun Galbi Seongseo Branch opening hours and parking
Gankeun Galbi Seongseo Branch is open daily from 12:00 to 23:30. There's a parking space on the first floor of the building too, so it was easy to visit by car.
Walking inside, the space was bigger than I expected, and there was decent room between the tables.
Since seating is fairly spacious, it seemed like a good spot for a family meal or a visit with a bigger group.
They also have a private room — worth asking about reservations for that!

What especially caught my eye was the kids' playroom!
For anyone visiting a BBQ restaurant with kids, a space like this actually matters quite a bit.
It's pretty spacious and even has a trampoline, so kids would probably love it.
How much is all-you-can-eat at Gankeun Galbi Seongseo Branch?
The biggest feature of Gankeun Galbi Seongseo Branch is, of course, the all-you-can-eat format. Pork rib is the base, and you can choose to add pork belly, makchang, and even emperor beef short rib, so you pick a set based on the type of meat you want.

We went with the pork rib all-you-can-eat!!!
After ordering through the table order system, you head to the self-bar~~ Whatever meat you ordered, you can refill it there endlessly~~!
What's on the self-bar
Even with the pork rib all-you-can-eat, you can also enjoy beef heart, gizzard, and pork skin. I thought this was a meat-only refill place, but the self-bar had way more variety than expected.
From fried snacks and tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes)
There's also miyeokguk (seaweed soup), which kids love, plus basic seasonings like salt and pepper to go with the meat.
There's a wide range of side dishes too — scallion shreds, kimchi, garlic, chili peppers, pickled gungchae, pickled radish, onion shreds, lettuce jangajji (pickled lettuce), ssamjang (dipping sauce) — just grab whatever suits your taste.
The ramyeon corner had egg and rice cake ready to add in, and there were also bracken and mushrooms for grilling. I grabbed some from the self-bar haha.
Domestic pork belly goes on the charcoal first
Starting with the pork belly. Gankeun Galbi uses domestic pork belly!!!
The meat looked thick and fresh.
Grilled golden-brown over charcoal, it made my mouth water just looking at it.

It was delicious dipped in sesame oil salt, and just as good wrapped with pickled lettuce and garlic.
Why the marinated pork ribs tasted even better
After eating a good amount of pork belly, I asked for the rib grill plate to be swapped through the table order, and the staff changed it right away.
Time to try the ribs~~
I put the ribs on and grilled them golden-brown over the charcoal, and personally, I liked the pork rib even more than the pork belly.
The sweet, salty seasoning soaks well into the meat, and grilling it over charcoal adds a smoky flavor that kept me reaching for more.
The pork rib especially was tender, so it wasn't heavy even eating it all-you-can-eat style. Kids would probably like it too!!!!
Naengmyeon delivered to the table by a robot
No meal here is complete without naengmyeon. Eating meat had warmed me up a bit, so I added a cold bowl of naengmyeon, and it was fun watching a robot bring it over. The seasoning sauce comes on the side, so you add as much as suits your taste.
A bite of naengmyeon with a piece of pork rib — that combo really can't fail, haha.
With ribs, the grill plate needs changing often because of the seasoning, but since it's set into the table, you can swap it without feeling awkward!!!
Finishing with jjapaghetti and dessert
Even though I was quite full, I couldn't just walk past the ramyeon corner.
They had jjapaghetti (black bean instant noodles) and Jin Ramyeon ready, so I ended up cooking jjapaghetti as the finale.
The ramyeon corner is available for all-you-can-eat guests. (Not included for guests on the lunch special.)
After the meal, the dessert corner has coffee, drinks, and even patbingsu (red bean shaved ice) ☕️🥤🧃🧋

There are waiting seats and a gacha machine too. Overall, this visit to Gankeun Galbi Seongseo Branch in Seongseo, Daegu was a great spot to go on a day when one kind of meat just isn't enough.
