Ramen Truck is a famous ramen restaurant in the Sangsu neighborhood. I'd only heard about it by word of mouth, and this time I finally visited in person! Luckily we arrived right before the crowds hit, so we got in without waiting — but do know going in that this place usually has a line. It's also a great space for solo diners, so I really want to recommend it!

How to walk to Ramen Truck from Sangsu Station Exit 4, plus parking

Address: Ramen Truck Sangsu Main Branch, 1st floor, 31 Dokmak-ro 14-gil, Mapo-gu, Seoul, South Korea. Coming out of Exit 4 of Sangsu Station (Line 6), don't go straight — turn around and head down toward Gangbyeon-ro, then take the first alley. Ramen Truck is right there!

Inside Ramen Truck: is it good for solo dining?

Right from the entrance, it had that cozy feeling, and once inside I could tell instantly why solo diners love this space (I'm a solo dining pro myself, so I knew right away haha)

Ramen in a quiet, cozy space... doesn't that sound amazing just thinking about it? And ramen tastes even better with beer. If I ever want ramen and a beer after work, I'll be running straight to Ramen Truck Sangsu Main Branch!!

Manjok ramen without egg, 10,000 won: how to order it egg-free

Manjok ramen (satisfaction ramen) is ₩10,000, and at Ramen Truck you can order it served without egg. I don't like egg, and it always bothered me having to leave it behind... so I was so glad there's a ramen menu that comes without egg from the start. As for the ramen itself... it was just so, so good. The broth was excellent, the noodles were firm yet soft, and it made me happy with every bite.

We didn't add chashu, but I noticed it's tastier to tear off small pieces of chashu and eat it with the noodles and broth rather than eating it whole.

So this is how good Ramen Truck's noodles are! I thought... no wonder there are so many customers. There was zero fishy smell at all, and I could really enjoy the deep broth and the true flavor of the ramen.

Summer-only cold ramen 12,000 won with extra cold chashu 3,000 won

Cold ramen is ₩12,000, and extra cold chashu (4pc) is ₩3,000. My husband ordered the cold ramen, which is a summer-only menu — and eating it, it really tasted just like the buckwheat soba you enjoy in summer.

Honestly I prefer warm broth so the manjok ramen suited me better, but my husband really enjoyed the cold ramen. Since it's summer-only, there's something fun about only being able to eat it during summer, right? Adding chashu makes it tastier and more filling.

He kept saying how delicious the egg was. There's no extra charge — it's already included in the cold ramen price — and he raved about it so much. He took it out to eat separately, so I snapped a photo.
