Evening dessert café in Mangwon, Seoul: matcha & French toast, PICT

I was wandering around Mangwon-dong and the vibe looked so good that I stopped by PICT Roastery Mangwon Branch! It's already famous as a Mangwon dessert hotspot haha. I really love French toast and I left completely satisfied 💛💛 It's great not just as a Mangwon food café but as a quiet place to enjoy coffee or dessert — totally recommended if you're looking for a quiet café or need to get laptop work done.

Location and parking for PICT Roastery Mangwon Branch

PICT is a specialty roastery café that newly opened in Mangwon-dong, following their Magongnaru location~! That Magongnaru café was already a word-of-mouth food spot!!!

🚇 About 5 minutes on foot from Mangwon Station Exit 2. It's close to Mangwon Market, Mangridan-gil, and Mangwon Hangang Park, so it's a nice stop on a Mangwon-dong outing haha. I drove, so I used the nearby public parking lot!

White walls, wood tones, and the open window interior

White walls with wood-toned tables make it such an aesthetic café haha. The interior was clean and pretty~!!

You can see straight through the window, giving it a really refreshing feel~~ The atmosphere is so good!!!

You can also choose your beans. I went in the evening so I didn't drink coffee that time, but I'm planning to come back for coffee next time hahaha. They say everything from roasting the green beans to extraction is done in-house, focused on the pure flavor of the coffee. A Mangwon coffee hotspot!!! They also have decaf!

The restroom inside was super clean too! As a new Hongdae-Mangwon café, the facilities are just as good, so it's really convenient to use haha.

Such a nice-vibe Mangwon café. It's right next to Mangwon Market, so the location is top-notch too~! The floor-to-ceiling window was so good, super open feeling!!! It's also fun to watch people passing by haha.

The plating was so clean and simple, perfect for photos..!!! The color of the latte and the French toast plating were both so pretty haha.

New Kyoto matcha latte, ₩7,000

A new menu item!! This is the Kyoto matcha latte. The rich matcha flavor paired so well with the smooth latte!! The matcha flavor came through strongly, which I loved haha. It wasn't too sweet so it was easy to drink without feeling heavy, and the smoothness of the milk blended naturally with matcha's characteristic bitterness hahaha. The balance was great for pairing with dessert too, so I enjoyed it very much 💚💚

24-hour aged French toast, ₩11,900, 20-minute wait

PICT Roastery's signature menu!!! French toast 💛 It took about 20 minutes. You could really tell it was made with care!! 🫶🏻 They say the French toast is aged for 24 hours and topped with powdered sugar and maple syrup for a soft, smooth bite.

You can see how generously they drizzled the maple syrup.. the best ㅜㅜ Thank you for not holding back… hahahaha. I got my sugar fix for sure 💛💛

It was so pretty I took one more photo hahaha.

You just cut it with a knife haha. It cuts really easily 💛 The outside was baked golden and the inside kept that moist texture haha. Eating it with the matcha latte was such a great combo!!!

In the hot summer, sweating and needing a sugar fix, this Mangwon dessert hotspot delivered properly ㅠㅠ I was so happy!!! Looking at that fluffy bread inside.. makes me want to eat it again hahaha.

And just like that.. I scraped up even the sauce to the last bit kkkkk hahaha. I recommend PICT Roastery, a Mangwon-dong dessert hotspot hahaha.
