Why I looked for kids shampoo for a child who sweats a lot

She tends to sweat a lot even while sleeping, so I make sure to shampoo her carefully at bath time. Until last year, when she was attending daycare, I mainly used an all-in-one product. But now, because of scalp odor and sweat, I realized we really needed to use kids shampoo. I got the chance to try PLEVE Kids Shampoo, so let me share my real, honest review.

A vegan shampoo for children

As children grow, their scalps and hair change too. Kids also have higher body temperatures than adults, sweat a lot, and spend plenty of time outdoors at places like playgrounds, where their scalps are exposed to lots of UV rays. At the playground, two hours is the bare minimum...ㅠㅠ sob.

For our children with delicate scalps, plant-derived surfactants are a good choice. Adult shampoos can cleanse too strongly, irritating children’s scalps and stimulating excess sebum production. I recommend using a children’s shampoo made with gentle, plant-derived surfactants!

Scent, foam, and how it feels after rinsing

As I’ve become more interested in ingredients, I check everything carefully and buy cautiously. When the ingredients are good, the product can feel stiff... and when the feel is nice, the ingredients can be a little disappointing... There always seemed to be one thing missing, so nothing felt quite right.

But PLEVE children’s shampoo smells so good to begin with! It has a fresh yet subtle floral scent unlike anything I had smelled in shampoo before... a sophisticated, luxurious fragrance, haha. Even with just one pump, it made rich foam. The shampoos I had bought because they supposedly had good ingredients barely foamed at all, and they felt so stiff while washing her hair that shampooing was really difficult.

Along with hinoki water, it contains litchi peel, coconut extract, argan oil, and more, which are said to cleanse the scalp, control odor, and soften the hair. Her hair felt soft even during the rinsing process.

It also controlled crown odor well. Her hair had been so stiff that I used to apply treatment, but this time it felt soft enough without it, which I absolutely loved. :)

It is vegan-certified and mildly acidic

It has received the internationally recognized French EVE VEGAN certification. Since this certification is awarded only to products that pass checks for non-animal-tested ingredients and strict manufacturing facilities, you can feel reassured about its ingredients and raw materials. It is also mildly acidic, with a pH similar to skin, so it seems like a suitable children’s shampoo for kids with sensitive skin because it is less irritating.
