A story about washing hair with my two boys, who became a fourth-grader and a second-grader this year :) My older son started practicing washing himself in second grade, and by third grade he was doing it almost entirely on his own. My younger second-grade son is starting to practice washing himself now :) What is the most important part of washing yourself? Washing your hair, of course :)

A shampoo chosen because of crown sweat smell

We always used all-in-one products that even washed the body, but I heard that from age 4 onward it is better to use shampoo separately, so I am choosing shampoo carefully. My older son especially gets truly, truly sweaty hair, so the sour smell—ahh… the smell on the crown of his head and sweat smell are really no joke, haha. I also check ingredients closely. PLEVE shampoo contains 97% or more plant-derived ingredients and is French EVE VEGAN certified, so I can use it with even more peace of mind :)

The kids in our home—especially my older son—have lots of hair, and his sebaceous glands have been developing like crazy lately. He also spends lots of time outside playing, so I always tell him to wash thoroughly. That is why cleansing power is really important to me, too.

Cleansing power matters, but it is hard for children to rinse thoroughly, so I also carefully check the precautions for use and the full ingredient list :)

The French EVE VEGAN certification mark :) It says it is free from 17 ingredients of concern, which made me feel reassured for boys, and about the worry of precocious puberty, too.

A vegan kids shampoo :) I really like that it is the kind of shampoo for children that does not leave residue. I have not tried the hair mist yet, but I think that would be an even more useful product for girls :)

For children like mine who hate washing their hair and hate bathing, it uses friendly comics to explain why they need to wash their hair, how to wash it, and even why they must dry it. Good, good :)

A soft pump bottle sized for kids' hands

A case that is great for children to use on their own :) I liked it even more because the bottle is soft and squeezable :)

I put it in one corner of the bathroom, and somehow it made the space feel brighter :) My son spotted it right away and asked if it was ours :) My older son used two pumps because he has lots of hair, but it foamed up well, so after that day he has been using just one pump perfectly well :)

After looking at “How should I wash my hair?”, our fourth-grade big brother at home washes his hair even more diligently :)

One-pump foam and a floral greenery scent

Oh-ho, he rinses like a real tough guy :) It says the floral greenery scent helps care for scalp odor, and I liked how it had a floral scent while also seeming to smell like nature :) A scent that sweeps away crown smell, sweat smell, and sour smell—ho ho :)

My younger son has relatively little hair, so one pump made really generous foam for him. Some products dispense so much that children have trouble controlling the amount, but this one dispensed just the right amount :)

My mischievous younger one—when I told him to wash his hair, he is washing it with his whole body :) He is really into pressing the shampoo himself and washing his hair :) He says, “Mmm~ it smells nice~~” :) I use conditioner separately, but with PLEVE shampoo, his hair did not tangle and felt soft even without conditioner :)

Planning to keep using the 300ml bottle

At 300ml, and with only one pump needed each time, I think it will last quite a while. My boys are moving on from their baby-baby days into those adolescent years when they give off crown-of-the-head smells, haha. Once spring passes, summer is coming, so we are going to wash diligently with PLEVE shampoo and keep that sour smell far away, haha. I will keep my boys smelling lovely with PLEVE shampoo and its good ingredients :)
