Car windshield oil-film remover, two-car test: AutoGrooming Clean View
In short
AutoGrooming Clean View is a 120g car-glass oil-film remover tested on a K5 in Korea. I used the included towel and water from a 2L bottle, and the treated right side looked cleaner to me; there was still product left after two cars. Verdict: an easy DIY glass-cleaning step.

I drive a K5 and wash it myself. Even after washing it, the glass never felt completely clean, and it looked hazy when it rained, so I tried cleaning it myself with AutoGrooming Clean View oil-film remover.

What were the contents and price like?
The product I used was AutoGrooming Clean View oil-film remover. At the time of the original post, it was listed as costing around ₩10,000, but I did not write down the exact purchase price.

At first, I thought only the oil-film remover would arrive and wondered whether I needed to prepare a separate towel. When I received it, though, a work towel was included too.

The set includes 120g of oil-film remover and a work towel. The included towel was fine to use, and it was convenient not to have to bring a separate work towel.

What order did I use to clean the K5 glass?
I had gone through an automatic car wash at a gas station a few days earlier, so this time I only worked on the glass in my apartment's outdoor parking lot. I prepared water in a 2L plastic bottle.

- First, I lightly removed dirt from the glass surface.
- I sprayed a little water onto the glass.
- I applied the oil-film remover to the glass, then rubbed it in straight lines four or five times with the included towel. You can put the product on the towel before wiping, but I applied it directly to the glass to show the process.
- I wiped until it felt as though the product was adhering to the glass surface, unlike at the beginning, then rinsed it with the water I had prepared.
When I did it this time, it took less than five minutes, including rinsing. It felt like a process worth trying myself instead of leaving it to a separate shop.
Did the treated and untreated sides look different?
To see the difference, I left the product off the left side of the glass and used it on only the right side first. To my eyes, the right side looked cleaner.

Could one bottle be used on two cars?
After comparing the sides, I cleaned the rest of the glass too. This time, I used one bottle on our car and my dad's car, and there was still product left. The work felt simple, so I plan to use the remainder regularly.
The product is also introduced as suitable for bathroom glass and shower booths, not just car glass. The place I used it myself this time was car glass.
