Songdo café with non-acidic americano and 3 cookies: Standard Square
In short
Standard Square is a roastery café on the first floor of Songdo World Mark Prugio in Yeonsu, Incheon, that roasts its own beans. The writer visited around lunchtime and tried an iced americano made with the Standard Blend, plus black sesame, matcha macadamia and blueberry crumble cookies, and found all three cookies delicious. If you want nutty coffee with no acidity alongside thick cookies, Standard Square is a great fit.

I visited a great coffee spot in Songdo, Incheon~ Standard Square is a roastery café that roasts its own beans, so the quality is good and you can enjoy professionally brewed coffee. Here's my review of Standard Square, a Songdo café ☕️

Standard Square location, hours and parking
Standard Square is at 50 Keonbensia-daero, Yeonsu-gu, Incheon, on the first floor of the Songdo World Mark Prugio Complex 1 retail building. It's open daily 09:00–22:00, and the underground car park gives you 3 hours of free parking.

Standard Square sits on the first floor of Songdo Prugio World Mark, within walking distance of Senteureolpakeu Station and Incheon National University Station! It's in a busy commercial area, so I'd recommend it as a café with a nice, date-friendly mood, somewhere to stop after a meal nearby~

Inside Standard Square
Standard Square is a bright, airy café with a clean white-and-blue interior and big picture windows. It was almost full since I went around lunchtime, so it was hard to take photos of the interior~ but the white-and-blue combination felt refreshing, and the space is split into two areas, which gave it a tidy feel~

Standard Square's signature coffees in Songdo
Here are the signature coffees at Standard Square, a Songdo café.
- A sweet café latte
- Nuts Einspänner (a Vienna-style coffee) topped with nutty cream
- A sweet, smooth cream latte served with an iced flat white
- Black Einspänner, where nutty soy milk meets sweet homemade cream
- Latte White Hole, enjoyed with the sugar coated on the rim of the cup
- Cream Mocha, a rich café mocha topped with sweet homemade cream

Standard Square also introduces a new specialty coffee every week, so it's a great Songdo café for coffee lovers~

What are Standard Square's desserts made with?
I hear all the desserts at Standard Square are baked in the shop every day with carefully chosen ingredients: organic flour, grade 1 antibiotic-free eggs, French chocolate and fresh cream, and organic sugar~ Cookies, scoop cakes (cakes you eat with a spoon), Basque cheesecake and other desserts that go well with coffee are famous for being delicious!

The cookies in particular are a must-try at Standard Square~ They're big and thick, so they feel satisfying, and they're nutty with a rich flavor, so good!

I picked an iced americano and 3 kinds of cookies to my taste: black sesame, matcha macadamia and blueberry crumble, and every single one was delicious!

Is the Standard Blend americano acidic?
The bean for Standard Square's americano, the Standard Blend, is a nutty, well-balanced house bean. It was rich and nutty, with a pleasant sweetness too~

It paired perfectly with sweet desserts, and I'd recommend this americano if you like nutty coffee without acidity~

Comparing Standard Square's 3 cookies
Black sesame cookie
Standard Square's black sesame cookie is packed with black sesame inside and out, so the nutty flavor spreads the moment you take a bite. There's no harsh sweetness; it lets the nuttiness of the black sesame shine, and I loved the gentle sweetness~

It's a thick, hefty levain-style cookie, slightly crisp outside and densely filled inside, and I loved the chewy yet moist texture~

Blueberry crumble cookie (new menu item)
The blueberry crumble is a new item at Standard Square, so I was curious and tried it~ A soft cookie with blueberry filling inside, and the balance of tartness and sweetness was great~

With every bite of the chewy cookie, the blueberries burst with fresh, juicy flavor~ and I loved the texture of the crisp, crumbly topping.

Matcha macadamia cookie
Standard Square's matcha macadamia cookie is one matcha lovers will like! The bittersweet, deep matcha aroma comes with big, crunchy macadamia nuts~

There's a moderate amount of white chocolate inside, so sweetness spreads after the bitterness of the matcha, and it softens the overall flavor~ All 3 cookies were so good that this Songdo, Yeonsu café left me wanting to try the other desserts too!
Who would enjoy Standard Square?
Standard Square, a café with a nice atmosphere in Songdo, Yeonsu, is a great place to heal with strong coffee and chewy cookie desserts when you need a little breather from a busy day. I recommend Standard Square♡
