Before heading to Haeundae Beach one weekend, I thought it would be nice to take away coffee and desserts to eat while looking at the sea, so we stopped by Low & Sweet Bakery in an alley of Haeridan-gil.

You’ll come across it while walking through the Haeridan-gil alleys, where little lifestyle shops are gradually settling in. It must already be a well-known Haeundae bakery, because there were quite a lot of people coming by.

We picked a few delicious desserts and coffee to take away, then enjoyed a leisurely coffee break by the beach.
What is the atmosphere like at Low & Sweet Bakery in Haeridan-gil?
Low & Sweet Bakery is located in Haeridan-gil.

The neatly European-style exterior was lovely from the start, and inside, the café felt clean and warm overall.

There were terrace seats as well as indoor seating, and on the cool weekend day I visited, lots of people were sitting outside and enjoying coffee.

At Low & Sweet Bakery, you can find a range of bakery items including cookies, baked treats, and pastries made fresh from 6 a.m. every day.

As the description says, everything is carefully made with good ingredients. The moment we walked in, the delicious smell of bread filled the shop, and I thought this must be a dessert spot—sure enough, everyone seemed to have at least one bakery item, haha.
Choosing desserts and coffee to take to the sea
Rather than staying at the café for long that day, we planned to head to Haeundae Beach to eat. So we chose a few desserts we wanted and got them to go.

After wondering what to choose, we started with the egg tart, one of the café’s best-selling items.

Then we chose three desserts in total: a dark chocolate chip cookie my boyfriend said he wanted, plus a lemon madeleine whose appearance was too hard to pass up.

Since we had sweet desserts, we both went for clean, refreshing iced Americanos.

Once we ordered, the desserts and coffee were ready in no time.

The takeaway cups and dessert bags were pretty too, with Low & Sweet’s logo simply printed on them.
Egg tart eaten by the Haeundae sea
With our takeaway desserts and coffee in hand, we walked a little way toward Haeundae Beach.

Haeridan-gil was closer to the Haeundae waterfront than I expected, so it was easy enough to pack desserts at the café and head down to the sea.

Lots of people were sitting in front of Haeundae Beach, so we found a spot there too and opened the dessert bags one by one, with their delicious aroma drifting out.

The first thing we tried was the gorgeous egg tart. It was crisp outside and moist inside—the perfect crisp-outside, soft-inside texture.
The tart shell was crisp with a pleasant bite, while the egg filling inside was sweet, soft, and moist. The pudding-like tender filling and crisp tart shell went so beautifully together. If you’re looking for a great egg tart near Haeundae Station, Low & Sweet Bakery’s egg tart could be worth considering, haha.
The lemon madeleine was the standout
The dessert we both picked as the standout was the lemon madeleine.

At first, we chose it for its pretty appearance, but when we tried it, it turned out to be a dessert with a pleasantly tart lemon flavor that came through quite strongly.

The refreshing lemon filling paired with the soft madeleine, and the combination of sweetness and brightness was so delicious.

It also went really well with coffee.

If you’re enjoying desserts in Haeundae and want to try something a little different, I recommend the lemon madeleine.
A large, soft dark chocolate chip cookie
We also tried the dark chocolate chip cookie my boyfriend had picked because he was craving something sweet.

First of all, it was generously sized, so even one felt quite filling, and it had a soft texture.

Above all, it was a cookie where the sweet chocolate flavor came through clearly, so I think it would suit anyone who likes sweet chocolate desserts. The egg tart, lemon madeleine, and dark chocolate chip cookie were all delicious in different ways, which made tasting each one fun.
A restorative coffee break in Haeundae
We both chose iced Americanos to go with the sweet desserts. They were delicious coffees with no bitterness at all—nutty and clean, just right.

Packing delicious coffee and sweet desserts from Low & Sweet Bakery and taking them out one by one while looking at the Haeundae sea made for such a restorative time.

It was a day that was no longer too hot and had turned slightly cool, so the sea breeze felt lovely too.

You don’t need an elaborate plan: simply taking away delicious bread and coffee in Haeridan-gil and enjoying a coffee break while looking at the Haeundae sea can make for a romantic day.
