In short

The cheongyang cream risotto (23,000 won) puts risotto and pasta on one plate, and the americano included with the meal was swapped for grapefruit juice for an extra 2,500 won. Cheongyang cream risotto, 23,000 won: risotto and pasta on one plate

The cheongyang cream risotto is a unique, soft yet spicy dish that lets you taste risotto and pasta together on one plate. One americano is included per dish, and I swapped mine for grapefruit juice for a refreshing finish.

🌶️ Cheongyang cream risotto — it arrived warm, with a generous portion of cream sauce that looked cozy just to look at.

Risotto and pasta were served together on one plate, accompanied by hearty mussels, baby octopus, shrimp, and crisply toasted bread, making for a varied, enjoyable combination.

The sauce centered on the nutty richness of the white, smooth cream, with the sharp spiciness of cheongyang chili following subtly behind. Rather than feeling heavy or greasy, the spiciness rose up naturally through the creamy flavor, so I kept reaching for bite after bite.

The pasta noodles were coated moistly in cream sauce,

and the risotto soaked up plenty of sauce, making it soft and enjoyable.

The shrimp, squid, baby octopus, and mussels added a savory taste of the sea,

and dipping the toasted bread lightly in the cream sauce gave a nice combination of crispness and moistness. It was also appealing that on a day when you can't decide between risotto and pasta, you can enjoy both at once. If you love smooth cream dishes but also want a bit of a different flavor twist, this was a comfortable dish to pick.

Swapping the americano for grapefruit juice (+2,500 won)
At Table d'Hote Busan W Square Branch, I paid an extra ₩2,500 to swap the included americano for grapefruit juice. The grapefruit juice caught my eye first with its clear, bright coral color. The red grapefruit hue shining through the ice was as bright as a sunflower, and it looked quite refreshing in the clear glass.

One sip and the tangy-sweet flavor of grapefruit spread out, pairing well with the smooth cream dish. It lightly cleared away the nutty lingering taste of the cream, so it was nice to sip between bites.
