I finally went out on my own for once haha. I'm always writing about places I go with my kids, so today feels extra exciting because it's about a place I went to get myself pampered 💇‍♀️. My hair's been so hard to manage lately that I finally worked up the courage to look for a salon. I saw one on Instagram that caught my eye right away, so I booked it and went!

The moment I walked into Mano de Jamie W Yongho Branch, the vibe felt totally different — this isn't just a place that cuts your hair, they do a really long, thorough consultation.

They first checked my scalp condition with an AI scalp analysis device (turns out I'm cool-toned — something I didn't know lol), then looked at my face shape and the image I was going for together. Going through the image consulting chart and picking things out one by one, the vague "I like this kind of vibe" feeling I always had suddenly made sense.

They told me I was a "chic" style, and hearing that, it did sound similar to the styles I've always been drawn to — wow, kind of surprising 😳

From long bob to bob cut: fringe perm and Korean head spa

My designer was Jeongwan, who explained everything really calmly, so I could comfortably ask questions during the consultation. For the service, she cut my long bob into a bob cut and did a light perm just on the fringe. I'm thinking about trying an even shorter cut next time haha.

After the cut, she gave me a head spa and massage too, and it was seriously so relaxing. I usually don't take great care of my scalp, so getting this kind of treatment left my head feeling light and refreshed.

I'm totally happy with the result! Styling is way easier than when I had a long bob, and the fringe perm changed the whole vibe. Lately I keep smiling every time I look in the mirror 😆
