Billogeu Hair (비로그헤어) is a hair salon in Yeonji-dong, Busan, near Busan Citizens Park, on the road up to Seongjigok Reservoir. If you come by car, you can park for free in the ground-level lot of the National Gugak Center Busan.

Today I visited Billogeu Hair, a hair salon in Yeonji-dong, Busan. It's newly opened and the prices are reasonable, so even though it was my first visit I liked it so much that I had to introduce it to you all. Free parking made it easy to get there 🚗

What kind of hair salon is Billogeu Hair?

Billogeu Hair is a one-person private hair salon where the head stylist handles everything herself, and it runs on a 100% reservation basis. If you want to visit after 7 pm, you're told to check with the salon in advance.

When I visited, it had been open for less than 2 months, a brand-new salon in Yeonji-dong 🖤 The name has a nice meaning too: Beauty + log, as in recording beauty ❕

Billogeu Hair prices and opening event

A plus of Billogeu Hair is that cuts, perms, straightening, volume straightening and coloring are all affordable. There's an extra charge for longer hair, so keep that in mind when you visit 🫧 As an opening event, every service except cuts is currently 10% off.

The stylist worked for a long time in Myeongji before coming to Yeonji-dong to run her own one-person salon, so I hardly need to talk about her skill 😌

Salon atmosphere

Billogeu Hair is a one-person salon where you're looked after one customer at a time. As a newly opened shop, the interior is clean and bright ✨ The decor is modern, and although the shop is small, it feels open, so I never felt cramped during the treatment❗️

So that we wouldn't get bored during the treatment, the stylist quickly set out drinks and snacks 🫶🏻 I came with my mom today, and I was so grateful she even prepared snacks for me 🙂

How does the bob CS perm consultation work at Billogeu Hair?

Before the treatment, Billogeu Hair looks at photos of the perm you want, talks through which styles are possible and sets the direction. To judge the hair's condition accurately, she also had the hair washed and checked it again before starting the perm 🖤

First she carefully checked my mom's current hairstyle 😘 Mom was getting a bob CS perm today. She only adjusted the length of her existing bob a little, then went on to the perm ❕ She explained in detail how she planned to handle the thickness and length, and matched the style as closely as she could, so it was a very comfortable treatment 😌

Protein and pre-treatment

Before the perm, Billogeu Hair sprays on protein first. Another plus is that she uses the pre-treatment products generously so the curls come out well 🤍 Because it's a one-person salon, there's no changing of hands, you can relax, and it was nice that I could ask lots of questions ✨

Rod winding and heat treatment

For a bob CS perm, she wound the rods so the front and sides get plenty of volume too 🫧 She wound them so carefully that I was really grateful. It had been a while since my mom had a perm, and I was so curious how it would turn out, hehe 😍

The heat treatment didn't take long, only about 10-15 minutes. During this step she brought drinks and snacks, so the wait wasn't boring 🖤

Neutralizing

After the heat treatment, she took out the rods and did the neutralizing quickly, all in the same seat 😘 She sprayed on the neutralizer and kindly explained what each step was, so I think even first-time visitors will like it ❗️

How did the 40s mom's bob CS perm turn out?

The bob cut + CS perm at Billogeu Hair was done in 1 hour 30 minutes 🙌🏻 My mom is surprisingly picky, but the stylist was careful and quick and she wasn't uncomfortable at all 🙂 Even without cutting much off, the light style with cut + perm was a huge success! After the perm, my mom said she looked 5 years younger and was so happy.

The stylist gave her natural volume and an easy-to-style CS perm that even flatters her face line 💖 It matched the photo we brought perfectly, so we left very satisfied. Mom didn't like how her hair drooped in her 40s, and she loved that the stylist gave it a more elegant look 😍
