Gwanak café with brûlée pie and colorful lattes: Pulse Line Coffee

While on a date in Syarosu-gil, I stopped by Pulse Line Coffee (펄스라인커피) for handmade pie. We ordered a brûlée pie and two drinks, and I particularly remembered the pie’s crisp texture and the distinctive taste of the Pulse-nal Latte.

Where is Pulse Line Coffee, and is parking available?

The address is 13 Gwanak-ro 14na-gil, Gwanak-gu, Seoul, South Korea, 1F Unit 101. According to the original post, it is open from 08:00 to 20:00, with last orders at 19:55, every day of the year. There is no on-site parking, and visitors are directed to use a nearby public parking lot. Private rental is also said to be available.

What is the atmosphere like for a date or solo visit?

The exterior felt polished, and my first impression was that I had come to a bar. Inside, there were more seats and more space than I expected. The distinctive interior also seemed well suited to taking photos.

I liked that there were outlets beside the wall-side tables for charging. Because the space was roomy, I felt I could comfortably stay here alone as well.

What did we order, and how much did it cost?

There were many types of coffee beans, so I wanted to try other beans too. There were also several desserts and muffins, but after some thought, I chose the signature pie.

I wanted to try the other desserts next time too. Our order was presented nicely, and the drinks arrived faster than I expected.

What did the brûlée pie taste like?

The brûlée pie combined a vanilla cream cheese filling with brûlée and lemon zest. The brûlée was crisp at first, followed by lemon flavor, making it sweet yet refreshing. I liked eating it together with the cookie base. Even my companion, who does not usually care much for desserts, said this pie was delicious.

How did the Pulse-nal Latte and mulberry yogurt differ?

The Pulse-nal Latte combined herb milk with the sweetness of red beet. Its color caught my eye, but what felt especially new was how its flavor changed before and after stirring. When I drank only from the bottom without stirring, the mint aroma was strong; once mixed, it felt similar to mint chocolate, with a coffee flavor lingering at the end. It is a drink I would order again.

The mulberry yogurt was thicker than I expected. After mixing it well, I found the mulberry flavor quite strong and was satisfied. The two drinks had different charms, but if I had to choose just one, I would choose the Pulse-nal Latte.

Water and syrup were available to take as needed, and the station was kept clean. Next time, I would like to order the Pulse-nal Latte again and try other desserts.
