Gwanak café with handmade brûlée pie: Pulse Line Coffee
In short
Pulse Line Coffee is a café near Sillim? Wait 서울대입구 = Seoul National University Station in Gwanak, Seoul, where I tried a handmade brûlée pie with an iced Americano on a rainy weekend. The lemon-zest cream cheese filling paired well with the clean coffee, and the quiet atmosphere made for a relaxed visit.

I visited Pulse Line Coffee (펄스라인커피) near Sillim? Wait, Seoul National University Station and Sha-ro-su-gil on a weekend. I was curious about its handmade brûlée pie, so I tried it with an iced Americano.

Where is the café, and what should you know before visiting?
The address marked on the attached map is 101, 1F, 13 Gwanak-ro 14na-gil, Gwanak-gu, Seoul, South Korea. It is near Seoul National University Station and Sha-ro-su-gil.
- The original post lists its hours as 08:00–20:00 daily.
- The post says you can use Nakseongdae No. 1 On-Street Public Parking Lot, a five-minute walk away.
- Space rental is also said to be available for clubs and small gatherings.
What were the café space and atmosphere like?
The first thing that caught my eye in the alley was the vivid red counter. The entrance has wide floor-to-ceiling windows, so I could see clearly inside and the space felt open.

The interior differed from the cafés I usually see, so I found myself looking around the space.

It rained on the day I visited, so there were not many customers. As a result, I could stay in a calm, unhurried atmosphere.

I was curious about the distinctive logo on the wall, so I asked the owner about it. They said it represents the rhythm flowing through coffee.
What was on the menu, and how was the Americano?
The long black and the signature Pulse Nella Latte stood out on the menu. There were also handmade muffins and pound cake, so I hesitated briefly before choosing the pie.

I ordered an iced Americano that day. Since I usually like coffee with acidity, the refreshing first sip and deep flavor suited my taste. The finish felt clean, without a stale or harsh bitterness.

What did the handmade brûlée pie taste and feel like?
The menu I was most curious about was the handmade brûlée pie. I ordered it with an Americano, looking forward to trying a handmade pie.

It had a soft vanilla cream cheese filling on a moist cookie base, finished with a sweet, crisp brûlée top. It was served with lemon zest.
The filling melted softly in my mouth, and the cookie base was not hard, so it was easy to cut with a fork. As someone who likes lemon, I especially liked the bright freshness of the zest. It seemed to balance the sweetness and went well with the clean Americano.
How was the Dutch coffee concentrate from the review event?
I liked the coffee and wanted to get some to go, but I decided not to have any more caffeine that day. On my way out, I joined a Naver review event and received Dutch coffee concentrate as a gift.

The next day, I made iced Dutch coffee with it at home, and it tasted as clean as the coffee I had at the café. If I have plans around Nakseongdae or Seoul National University, I would like to stop by again.
