Daily Fix Jangmi Sangga is a handmade burger shop on basement level 1 of Building B at Jangmi Sangga in Jamsil, Songpa, Seoul. Before a movie at Lotte Cinema Jamsil, two people ordered a cheeseburger, a classic burger, fried eggplant and bacon cheese fries by table QR code, and the rich cheeseburger and the fried eggplant with green sauce stood out most. Verdict: Daily Fix is a good pick for a filling meal before a movie in Jamsil.

Sanbon raw fish restaurant, holiday croaker lunch: Sokcho Fish Market

Deokbokhui-jip is a cozy Yeomchang Station snack bar for lingering over rich tteokbokki and crispy fritters.

Guro Station bossam restaurant with my parents after work: The Jokbal

The Jokbal Sindorim Main Branch is a jokbal (braised pig's trotters) and bossam (boiled pork wraps) restaurant between Guro Station and Sindorim in Seoul. After an earlier jokbal meal there with his wife, the writer returned after work on a weekday with his parents, waited for a table and ordered a large Ttadeut Budeul Bossam (warm, tender bossam), a small tray makguksu (buckwheat noodles) and the cold jokbal sampler given with Naver reservations. The bossam at The Jokbal Sindorim Main Branch was tender with no porky smell and the parents were happy, making it worth revisiting for family dinners.
