Suwon reading café, autumn-night peanut cookie: Jung Ji-young Sinpung
In short
Jung Ji-young Coffee Roasters Sinpung is a new branch of Jung Ji-young Coffee on the 2nd floor of Sinpung-ro in Haenggung-dong, Suwon. On a weekday evening, the blogger sat at the floor-to-ceiling window at Jung Ji-young Coffee Roasters Sinpung with an iced decaf Americano and a peanut American cookie, reading a book in the autumn night breeze. Jung Ji-young Coffee Roasters Sinpung is a good café for a quiet stay, alone or with a friend, away from busy Haenggung-dong.

I heard Jung Ji-young Coffee, which has become one of Suwon's signature cafés, opened a Sinpung branch, so I went on a new-café tour of Suwon!

Where is Jung Ji-young Coffee Roasters Sinpung, and how late is it open?
Jung Ji-young Coffee Roasters Sinpung (정지영커피로스터즈 신풍점) is on the 2nd floor of the building at 32 Sinpung-ro, Paldal-gu, Suwon, Gyeonggi, South Korea. It's open 11:00-22:00 on weekdays and 10:00-22:00 on weekends, so it's great for a late-evening stop too.

It's close to the Jung Ji-young Coffee Haenggung main branch. It's on the 2nd floor!

What are the atmosphere and seating like at Jung Ji-young Sinpung?
The mood is antique and calm, with a big group table, sofa seats and window seats, so there's plenty of variety. Personally, I think the charm of Jung Ji-young Coffee is that, despite having so many branches, each one has a different interior and vibe. The big table in the middle looks useful both for groups and for studying at a café.

As a new café, Sinpung is antique yet quiet, which suits a weekday evening. Everyone seemed to be chatting in low, gentle voices.

They'd left the windows open, which made it lovely to enjoy a coffee alone in the quiet. The autumn night breeze drifting in was peak romance!

There are comfy sofa seats too, so it's good for coming to chat ☺️ With so many kinds of seats, you can pick whichever suits you!

Does Jung Ji-young Coffee have merch (MD)?
Browsing the merch you always find at Jung Ji-young Coffee is fun too. From Suwon-flavored beans to T-shirts, caps and mugs, I'm amazed they keep releasing new items. Overall it was a dimly lit sort of café.
Jung Ji-young Sinpung menu and prices
The menu is divided into coffee, beverages, hand drip and homemade desserts. The Americano is 5.5 (₩5,500), and the signature coconut coffee is 7.0 (₩7,000).

- COFFEE: Americano 5.5 / café latte 6.5 / flat white 6.0 / vanilla latte 6.8 / coconut 7.0 / black sesame latte 7.0 / super sweet corn latte 7.0 (prices in thousands of won)
- BEVERAGE: plum ade 6.5 / London Fog milk tea 6.5 / ice cream 5.5 / grapefruit ade 6.5 / chamomile relaxer 7.0
- HAND DRIP: Guatemala Antigua Pastoral 7.0 / Ethiopia Momora Natural G1 7.5 / Kenya Kiambu AA 8.0 / Colombia El Paraiso Double Anaerobic Lychee Peach 8.5
- HOMEMADE DESSERT: French toast 13.0 / tiramisu 11.0

What cakes are in the dessert showcase?
The showcase had sweet potato cake, Basque cheesecake and Matilda cake. The kiwi yogurt cake also looked delicious, but it was sold out when I went, probably because it's popular.

There's also tiramisu and French toast, plus American cookies, honey rusk, madeleines and lamington cake, easy to pair with coffee~~
The signature menu is the coconut coffee! I had it once before, and the coconut aroma is strong and it's just sweet enough, so it goes down in big gulps... it's really good!

Are the full-window seats at Jung Ji-young Sinpung crowded?
From the window seats at Jung Ji-young Coffee Roasters Sinpung you can see the Haenggung-dong street at a glance, and the breeze comes in. I sat right at the window and the mood was sooo good. Most Haenggung-dong cafés are packed, but since this one is still a new café, it seems like a relaxed place to enjoy.

How are the decaf Americano and peanut American cookie?
I ordered an iced decaf Americano and a peanut American cookie. The cookies here are secretly really good, haha. The nutty peanut flavor is great, it goes well with the tangy strawberry jam, and it's thick, so I enjoyed it a lot.

Decaf beans often don't suit my taste depending on the café, but Jung Ji-young's decaf is so rich and tasty you wouldn't know unless told. As expected of Jung Ji-young Coffee... a bean specialist, so it does decaf well too.

Who is Jung Ji-young Sinpung recommended for?
Jung Ji-young Sinpung is a new Suwon café that's good for reading alone or going with friends. Coming with a book was really relaxing and nice. The coffee is already famous and the new-café calm is still alive, so I recommend it both alone and with friends.
