Gangnam restaurant with table-grilled steak and crab pasta: Kkuudeok

Kkuudeok (꾸우덕) is a restaurant centered on handmade pasta and mini-brazier steak that you grill yourself right at the table.

Such a cute sign out front. I think Kkuudeok's biggest draw is being able to grill your steak exactly to your own taste.

Kkuudeok near Seolleung Station: location and hours

It is a five-minute walk from Seolleung Station, so it is easy to reach by public transportation, too.

• There is no on-site parking, but you can use the Teheran-ro 64-gil Street Public Parking Lot. It costs ₩2,400 per 30 minutes and is a four-minute walk from the restaurant.

An interior suited to dates and get-togethers

The interior is finished in clean gray tones, with a calm atmosphere that seemed perfect for a date or a blind date ☺️ Most tables seat four, but there is also a six-person table, so it would be nice for a group gathering, too.

There is even a separate waiting area inside, so you can wait in a comfortable setting.

Kkuudeok's menu and the set meal we ordered

The pasta selection includes spicy crab cream pasta, shrimp rosé pasta, hangover tomato pasta, and truffle cream funghi pasta. For steak, there is flat iron steak and Korean beef striploin. The striploin steak is a limited menu item that needs aging and trimming, so advance reservations are required!

True to my seafood-loving self, I ordered only dishes with crab and shrimp in them haha.

Each table has pickles and extra sauce ready, so you do not have to bother asking separately for refills.

Flat iron steak grilled just how you like it

The flat iron steak looked delicious at a glance... Before putting the meat on the brazier, you first grease it with the butter that comes with it.

Then you put the meat on 🥺 It comes partially cooked already, so it does not need long on the heat. More than anything, I loved that everyone could cook it to their own preference.

Above all, I was shocked because the meat was not tough at all—it was so tender. It was seriously so good with the recommended house scallion sauce and whole-grain mustard 🙊

Seafood dishes packed with crab and shrimp

Honestly, I was looking forward to the spicy crab cream pasta even more than the steak! 🦀 It was generously filled with crab, and the sauce had incredible savory depth. I scraped up every last bit.

And this crab was really as soft as cotton candy haha. The moment I took a bite, I practically forced my friend to eat it right away.

Shrimp rosé risotto! Like the other dishes, the risotto was generously packed with shrimp, and the plump mushrooms had a lovely bite. And true to Kkuudeok's name, the sauce was so rich and thick compared with typical store-bought sauces ㅋ_ㅋ

If you are looking for a restaurant with a nice atmosphere near Seolleung Station, definitely give it a visit!! It is not extremely expensive either, so being able to have steak and pasta this delicious at such an approachable price... ㅜㅜ I am planning to bring my boyfriend back next time too 😋
