Seoulsup date restaurant, open-kitchen seat & spritz: Billadeubeulleu
In short
Billadeubeulleu Seongsu (빌라드블루 성수) is a European-style Western restaurant on Seoulsup 2-gil near Seoulsup Station in Seongdong, Seoul. Right after break time, from a seat facing the open kitchen, the writer had the aligot cheese lasagna (22,000 won), with cheese poured over it at the table, the abalone ink risotto (25,000 won) and a limoncello spritz (12,000 won), and both plates were scraped clean. For a date spot with atmosphere near Seoulsup, the lasagna, risotto and spritz combination at Billadeubeulleu Seongsu comes recommended.

What is the atmosphere like at Billadeubeulleu Seongsu?
With an exterior that looks like you've traveled to Europe, this Seoulsup restaurant catches your eye right away. I went to a place in Seoulsup with a really great atmosphere~ and when the weather is nice, it looks like you can eat outside too~

Blue interior and a variety of seats
The inside of Billadeubeulleu Seongsu is all blue, an interior that gives off total fresh, refreshing vibes~ There are all kinds of seats, from tables for 2 to tables for 4, and even window seats that look fine for eating alone! The atmosphere alone had me looking forward to the food~ I went right after break time and people were already seated~~ (so fast!!)

Seats facing the open kitchen
My seat was one facing the open kitchen, like this~ And sure enough, everyone was ordering the cheese waterfall lasagna as a must! You get to watch the kitchen too, two birds with one stone, right?

How to order and what's on the menu at Billadeubeulleu Seongsu
At Billadeubeulleu Seongsu you order by scanning the QR code on the table, haha. The table comes set with plates, forks, knives, tissues and so on, like this.
The menu is very varied, from pasta to steak to salad, and the drinks range from wine to spritz, cocktails and beer! There's coffee too, so it looks good for dessert after a meal.
Limoncello spritz and Matilda French lemonade
The drinks came out first~ This is the limoncello spritz (₩12,000), which I really love. Can't you feel the freshness just looking at it? Apparently it's famous in Europe as an aperitif (a pre-meal drink). It had a fresh taste that was perfect for whetting the appetite. Along with the spritz, I also ordered the Matilda French lemonade (₩5,000)!

Aligot cheese lasagna: how is the cheese waterfall?
The aligot cheese lasagna (₩22,000) is the signature dish of Billadeubeulleu Seongsu. A staff member comes to your table and pours the cheese on like a real waterfall. (I think this performance is unique to this place!) Watching it is part of the fun. Just looking at it makes your mouth water, haha.

The cheese goes really well with the lasagna layered with tomato sauce! The texture is like cheese mixed with potato(?) (kind of fluffy). Maybe that's why it tasted milder and nuttier~ Can you see the cheese stretching~~~? I really love lasagna, and Billadeubeulleu does lasagna really well.

How does the abalone ink risotto taste?
The abalone ink risotto (₩25,000) surprised me when I ate it! Billadeubeulleu Seongsu does risotto really well too~ One abalone is sliced and placed on top of the risotto, and inside there's diced squid(?) that adds a chewy texture!
The nutty richness that ink has and the seasoning overall are so good that the umami is no joke. And it was so smooth that I felt like I'd finally found a really tasty risotto after a long time.

Is Billadeubeulleu Seongsu worth going back to?
The aligot cheese lasagna and abalone ink risotto plates ended up empty like this! I almost scraped up the sauce too, honestly. Everyone, you absolutely have to order the spritz~ it goes so well with the food, right??
I enjoyed these two so much that next time I'll come back and conquer the other dishes too. (The other menu items make me super curious.) It's a perfect spot for a date in Seoulsup with a great atmosphere, so be sure to visit~
