Hakdong Station Italian weekday lunch with a friend: Osteria Lucia
In short
Osteria Lucia is an Italian restaurant in Gangnam, Seoul, a 5-minute walk from Exit 3 of Hakdong Station, and it offers free corkage. Over a weekday lunch with a friend, the writer ordered button mushroom ripieni (stuffed mushrooms), the signature bottarga and squid ink risotto; the bottarga was the best dish of the day, and the squid ink risotto had a pleasantly thick, creamy texture. Even the friend who claimed Hakdong Station has no good restaurants wants to return to Osteria Lucia for a team lunch.

Why we picked Osteria Lucia for a weekday lunch near Hakdong Station
Osteria Lucia is an Italian restaurant a 5-minute walk from Exit 3 of Hakdong Station. I had a long-overdue weekday lunch with a friend, so I came all the way out to Hakdong in Gangnam. My friend, who worked in Hakdong for 5 years, keeps saying there are no good restaurants near Hakdong Station... While looking for somewhere to eat, I ended up at Osteria Lucia through the Supermembers campaign.

My friend loves pasta, and the exterior looked upscale, the atmosphere was great and every dish was satisfying. It was a really happy lunch after so long. It's an easy walk from Hakdong Station (with a slight slope), so Osteria Lucia suits any occasion: a team lunch, a dinner get-together or a date.

Is Osteria Lucia corkage-free?
Yes, Osteria Lucia is a corkage-free restaurant in Gangnam. I went at lunchtime, and it felt relaxed rather than noisy, which made it nice for chatting with my friend. It seems like a great place for a glass of wine in the evening too, so I thought it would work for a date or a gathering.
Above all, corkage-free in Gangnam? What a bargain. Wine lovers will be even happier. (There's a wine shop across the street! You could buy a bottle there.) Next time I want to bring a bottle and enjoy it with the meal. My friend said they'd come soon with a bottle of wine, haha.
Osteria Lucia seating and interior
The hall at Osteria Lucia has a round table in the center, a long table on the left, and room-style seating separated from the hall.

Here's the round table in the center, and

there's the long table on the left! (Our seats!)

On the right there's also room-style seating separated from the hall. Great for group gatherings!

And the symbol of an interior only a confident restaurant can pull off!! An open kitchen.

Osteria Lucia menu and our lunch order
Osteria Lucia has a wide menu, from dinner courses to pasta, risotto and steak, so it's easy to choose what you like. The wine list also covers a variety of countries and regions! Since it was lunch, we ordered the three dishes below.
- Mushroom ripieni (stuffed mushrooms)
- Bottarga (cured fish roe pasta)
- Squid ink risotto
Mushroom ripieni: a first dish with deep mushroom aroma
The mushroom ripieni is button mushrooms filled and baked, and it came out first.

The mushroom aroma was really strong. It went wonderfully with the oil and did a great job of whetting the appetite. We kept saying, "This would be so good with a glass of white wine." I'd definitely order it again when I visit for dinner.
Squid ink risotto: pleasantly thick
The squid ink risotto at Osteria Lucia isn't too runny and has a nicely thick texture, which is just my taste.

The signature squid ink flavor wasn't overpowering, and the nutty taste lingered, so I really enjoyed it. My friend said, "This reminds me of the squid ink risotto I had in Saipan." That meant it was good enough to bring back memories of a dish abroad, which made it taste even better to me.
Bottarga (signature): number one of the day
I ordered the bottarga because it's Osteria Lucia's signature dish. Personally, it was number one among everything we ate that day.

It was moderately oily without being heavy, and blended with the cheese the flavor was great. You keep reaching for another bite, so I understood why it's the signature. If you like pasta, please try the bottarga.

It looked like this before,

and this is how it ended up!
Is it a good spot for a team lunch near Hakdong Station?
Osteria Lucia seemed good for a company lunch near Hakdong Station too. As we left, my friend said, "This place is good. Next time I should bring my team here for a lunch outing." The friend who kept saying there are no good restaurants in Hakdong must have been satisfied.
The food was satisfying overall and the atmosphere comfortable, so it seemed great for a team lunch near the office. If you're looking for a good Italian restaurant near Hakdong Station, give Osteria Lucia a visit!

Oh, and the restroom at Osteria Lucia is so pretty too ♥
