This weekend my friend and I went to the Cheonggyecheon outdoor library 💖 While walking along the stream I got a huge craving for pizza, so I searched for good pizza spots around Euljiro and Jongno and found [Backstreet Pizza]
Dim lighting, a hip vibe, close proximity to Ikseon-dong, and great value for money — this place has it all, so I really wanted to share it with you all ෆ⃛ ෆ⃛ ෆ⃛

How to walk to Backstreet Pizza from Jongno 3-ga Station Exit 5
[Backstreet Pizza] is in the basement level, a bit further into the back alley after coming out of Exit 5 of Jongno 3-ga Station. Since you have to walk into the back alley, you might feel unsure at first, but if you spot the "The Dream Livestock" sign, you're in the right place 😝

It felt like a hip, unique space that would be great for a date. I thought pizza was mostly a favorite among women, but there were way more men in the restaurant, which was both funny and surprising to me 😊😊
The seating is mostly 2-person tables, but they'll set up more space if you ask, so it's fine to come as a group of 6 or 8!
The interior is unique, so it was fun taking photos. It's full of an exotic atmosphere, so I'd recommend visiting on a day when you want a special date 👍🏻
On one side there's a self-service corner with ice water, cutlery, hot sauce, and parmesan cheese powder set up, so feel free to help yourself ୧⃛՞•ﻌ•՞୨⃛

There were 8 pizza types total, plus a half & half option and a Quarter Backstreet Pizza that lets you try all 4 signature flavors at once, giving you 10 pizzas to choose from. Sides included french fries, cheese balls, and buffalo wings, all waiting to be ordered >_<

I heard the regular size serves 2-3 people, but the pizza was bigger than expected, so it was a bit much for two of us! The toppings were also piled on so generously that it made the pizza even more filling — honestly enough for 3 people 💛
What the Potato Killer pizza tastes like
The Potato Killer had a mountain of savory-seasoned fries piled on top, kind of like Mom's Touch-style fries! There was honey drizzled underneath, and the sweet-salty combo was great. I ordered cola since it was daytime, but this flavor seemed like it would pair really well with beer 😋
What the Mushroom Bang pizza tastes like
The Mushroom Bang had white sauce and truffle oil for a deep, savory flavor! It had all kinds of mushrooms — button mushrooms, enoki, black fungus — and the bursting texture added a lot to the experience haha. If the Potato Killer is bold and intense, this Mushroom Bang is savory and lightly salted, with its own kind of fun to eat.
The cheese was real cheese, not fake cheese, so it doesn't stretch like fake cheese does, but it had a clean, milky taste and wasn't greasy, which I loved 🥰 Cheese for the win 🧀🧀
Dipping into the garlic sauce or hot sauce in between bites kept it interesting all the way through, no getting sick of it (๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵)و ♡ Totally worth the hype 👉🏻👈🏻
Is Backstreet Pizza worth it for lunch in Jongno 3-ga?
It tasted less like a Korean pizza chain and more like a local-style pizza you'd eat while traveling abroad, which really matched the distinct image of Backstreet Pizza.
With its impressively unique, hideaway-like interior, generously piled toppings, thin and chewy dough, and a light, non-greasy taste that was easy on the stomach, this felt like a place people of all ages and genders would enjoy.
