Ilmigop, a Bisan-dong Anyang gopchang restaurant: 500g grill for two
In short
Ilmigop is a grilled beef gopchang (beef intestine) restaurant in Bisan-dong, Anyang, an easy walk from Beomgye Station. On a weekday visit at 5pm, Ilmigop served a 500g assorted grill for two and cheese fried rice for 4,900 won, plus a thick free portion of usamgyeop (thin-sliced beef belly) given to guests who arrive before 5pm. Portions at Ilmigop run bigger than at most gopchang restaurants, so it suits anyone who wants to leave genuinely full.

Today I visited Ilmigop, a gopchang (grilled beef intestine) restaurant in Bisan-dong that I ate really full and satisfied at~ It's close to Beomgye Station too, so it could be a good pick for anyone looking for a gopchang restaurant near Beomgye Station!

Why is Ilmigop full even at 5pm on a weekday?
Ilmigop apparently follows the principle of prepping ingredients fresh that day, and maybe that's why even on a weekday there were so many customers that it was almost fully booked~!

Seeing this many people at 5pm on a weekday made me think this really is a gopchang restaurant worth knowing about near Beomgye Station and Bisan-dong~ I was excited even before eating haha
Ilmigop's menu and prices: the assorted grill for two is 500g

When I ordered the 2-person assorted grill, it came out to 500g, so I realized the portion is huge — and on top of that I added cheese to the fried rice~ Most other beef gopchang places give you around 300-400g, so this really felt like a gopchang restaurant with generous portions, plenty to eat!
Side dishes, sauces and the stew that arrives like a full dish
Ilmigop's basic side dish setting had pickled onions, green onion kimchi, and lettuce salad, and they were all fresh and nice!

For dipping sauces there was chili sauce and garlic sauce — a bit sweet, but they had their charm!
And the stew that comes as part of the basic setting was so big and packed with ingredients that I thought I'd accidentally ordered it separately as an à la carte item!!

Ilmigop's assorted grill arrives fully cooked, so there's no grilling to manage
And now, finally, shall we look at the visual of this Bisan-dong gopchang restaurant?

It doesn't come out just parboiled — it comes fully cooked, so I didn't have to struggle grilling it, which was nice, and they said only the beef heart needed a little more cooking. Also you could just adjust the heat slightly and let it get crispier bit by bit!

Definitely because it was 500g, the portion was bigger than other gopchang restaurants and I loved that — I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a gopchang restaurant with generous portions!!

How do Ilmigop's gopchang and makchang taste and chew?
The first part I tried was the one full of savory fat, right? Since I came to a gopchang restaurant, I had to eat the beef gopchang first haha
It was packed with fat and crispy on the outside — a true representative of crispy-outside, tender-inside!!
The second part I ate was makchang (beef stomach lining), which had a really chewy feel, and it was grilled well so the texture was excellent too~

You could pick whichever you liked between the spicy chili sauce and the pungent garlic sauce, and it was really tasty~

There were also plenty of vegetables to eat with the beef gopchang, from potatoes to green onions, onions, garlic, and chives — such a variety of vegetables that it seemed good for your health too!

I also tried it with the various side dishes, and the daechang (large intestine), makchang, gopchang, and beef heart were all delicious!!

The before-5pm freebie: thick usamgyeop beef belly
It turns out Ilmigop gives you beef belly (usamgyeop) as a free service item if you come before 5pm~ So while I was eating, they said 'this is a service item' and gave it to me, and the beef belly wasn't thin at all — it was thick, so it felt like a really generous gift!

The beef belly came in a portion as generous as if I'd ordered it separately as its own dish, and it was thick, which was great — wrapping it in the green onion kimchi made it so delicious!

Is the 4,900-won cheese fried rice enough for two?
And the fried rice was ₩4,900 but came not as one serving but almost as two servings, with cheese already added! Bisan-dong's Ilmigop overall seems to give generous portions~
I've been to many gopchang restaurants, but this was the first time I had fried rice of this quality. At ₩4,900 it seemed almost too cheap — I wondered if they were even making any profit haha. You pay for one serving but get two servings' worth!!

When eating the fried rice, they give you pickled radish to go with it, and this too was really a special treat~
Would I go back to Ilmigop?
If I ever need gopchang in Bisan-dong or Beomgye, this will be the first place that comes to mind. The portions are generous overall, and both the side dishes and side menu items were satisfying, so I would definitely visit again!

I ate really well at this Bisan-dong gopchang restaurant. That's it for my record of Ilmigop, my go-to beef gopchang spot.
