Songdo salt bread café with a free bun for a receipt review: Cozy Bear
In short
Cafe Cozy Bear Salt Bread Bakery (Songdo Hagwonga branch) is a salt bread bakery café in the Songdo academy district of Yeonsu-gu, Incheon. On a visit around 5 p.m., the writer shared plain, ang-butter (red bean paste and butter) and mentaiko (spicy pollock roe) salt bread with a friend and the writer's father; the Cozy Bear mentaiko salt bread was about as spicy as Shin Ramyun, with a crisp, buttery bottom. To get a full choice of flavored salt bread at Cozy Bear, time your visit to the 09:00 and 14:00 batches.

I got there around 5 p.m., and the flavored salt breads were almost all gone, sob. I liked that they don't only sell plain salt bread but a variety of flavors! The prices are pretty decent too, haha.

The box is so cute that it seemed like a good gift, haha. I ordered the plain, ang-butter and mentaiko salt breads!
How spicy is the Cozy Bear mentaiko salt bread?
The mentaiko salt bread is spicier than I expected, about Shin Ramyun level. The combo of seaweed flakes and mentaiko is very salty, so it suits people who love salty flavors.

The mentaiko salt bread smelled so good, haha.

I loved the seaweed flakes plus mentaiko combo. It's the textbook salty-salty bite, so I think anyone who likes salty food will love it. The bottom is crisp and the inside is moist from the mentaiko sauce, so delicious, haha.

Since it's spicier than expected (Shin Ramyun level), if you can't handle spice I'd recommend the plain, ang-butter, potato or castella salt bread. True to a salt bread specialist, Cozy Bear has a crisp bottom and a strong buttery feel, which I loved!
The friend who ate with me said the spiciness made it taste even better.
How do Cozy Bear's ang-butter and plain salt breads taste?
My father had the ang-butter salt bread, and he said it tasted even better, maybe because they make the red bean paste themselves. The plain salt bread nicely showed off its butter cave (the hollow inside) and crisp bottom.

The plain salt bread had a well-formed butter cave and a crisp bottom too, so tasty, haha. Being salt bread, it went really well with an Americano!
If you're looking for a great bakery café in Songdo, I recommend Cozy Bear. There's a free public parking lot right in front, and the sunlight is lovely, haha.
