Yeouido Station Korean restaurant for a parents' meeting: Modam Urban

I wanted to introduce a Korean restaurant near Yeouido where you can enjoy refined food in an upscale setting.

I was looking for somewhere in Yeouido to eat with a bit of atmosphere, and heard this was a place where you could take your time enjoying each Korean dish, so I visited.

Modam Urban seating: private rooms and partitioned tables for parents' meetings

Modam Urban is on L3 of the IFC Mall at Yeouido Station, 10 Gukjegeumyung-ro, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul. Since I'd booked ahead, I was seated at the assigned table.

They have both private rooms and partitioned tables, so the space felt spacious and great for conversation.

And then, the dishes I ordered arrived!

Six appetizers served free with a main dish at Modam Urban

At Modam Urban, ordering a main dish gets you six appetizers for free. I worked through them one by one as they arrived.

Black sesame and mung bean porridge

First up was mung bean porridge topped with black sesame. The soft porridge paired with the nutty aroma of black sesame — so good haha.

It made me realize this is what mung bean tastes like, gently opening up the appetite — a perfect first course.

Wholegrain mustard and yuja salad

Second was a salad with whole-grain yuzu. The yuzu aroma added to the salad gave it a fresh, bright feel.

Spicy mushroom gangjeong (sweet crisp-fried mushrooms)

Spicy mushroom gangjeong (crispy glazed bites).

It didn't even taste like mushroom, it was so good, haha. Coated in a glaze outside, it had a sweet and just-right spicy flavor.

Perilla oil cappellini

Perilla oil cappellini — a dish of thin noodles made with perilla oil.

The distinct nutty aroma of perilla oil came through gently, and the noodles' light texture was satisfying~

Chilled smoked duck salad

A cold salad with smoked duck. Smoked duck served with chilled vegetables — a fresh, delicious combination.

Mushroom pyeonyuk with truffle chamnamul salad

Sliced mushroom paired with truffle-dressed chamnamul (wild aster greens).

Smoky crisp bulgogi, 29,900 won

Stir-fried kimchi arrived.

The real deal the moment I tasted it. This is what real smoky-grilled bulgogi is, hahaha.

The seasoning had soaked deep into the meat while the surface had a lovely grilled char, making it perfect with multigrain rice.

And a warm soup rounded it off into a perfect Korean meal.

Minari hanwoo beef yukhoe bibimbap, 29,900 won, with 1++ grade beef

The 29,900-won minari Korean beef yukhoe bibimbap centers on 1++ grade hanwoo (Korean beef) yukhoe, along with cold-weather minari, seasonal vegetables, cheongyang chili, and an egg yolk.

The minari Korean beef yukhoe bibimbap combines the tender taste of hanwoo yukhoe with the fragrant flavor of minari — incredible.

On top of that, the seasonal vegetables add lively texture, and the egg yolk brings everything together with a smooth finish~ A highly recommended, upscale, fresh, delicious yukhoe bibimbap.

Milk pudding to finish the meal

To finish, milk pudding for dessert. Its gentle sweetness was lovely to enjoy lightly after the meal.
