I really love seafood, so my boyfriend and I were trying to figure out a weekend lunch date course when I heard there was a highly-rated clam hot pot place near National Assembly Station. There are waiting chairs set up outside just for customers. Nice touch — even if there's a wait during weekends or peak hours, you can sit comfortably instead of standing around. Good good!!!

Once inside, the place was much bigger and more pleasant than I expected. Both the hall and room seating had plenty of space.

The tables were spaced generously and everything was tidy overall, making it a comfortable spot to chat over a meal. What comes with the giant clam hot pot for two in 'clear' broth

We ordered the restaurant's signature giant clam hot pot for two in the 'clear' broth. When it arrived piled up like a mountain in a huge pot, both my boyfriend and I were shocked. Even though it was for two people, the portion was so massive we asked the staff again to make sure it really was a two-person serving lol. It was loaded generously with all kinds of fresh clams — scallops, mussels, hard clams — plus fan mussel and assorted vegetables, so the visuals alone were something else.

There's something oddly exciting about closing the lid and waiting for the timer to go off. A staff member came over and cut everything into bite-sized pieces for us, so all we had to do was wait for it to cook comfortably. Even during a busy time, the attentive service made the meal feel even more enjoyable from the start.

Kalguksu sari or ramyeon sari with clear broth?

The clam meat was plump and full, with a springy yet tender bite. After finishing the hot pot, we tried adding ramyeon (instant noodle) sari, but personally it didn't quite fit,,,,,,,, For the clear broth I'd recommend kalguksu (knife-cut noodle) sari instead...!!!!

At the register they thoughtfully had mouthwash, hair ties, candy, and dental floss set out for customers! After eating clam hot pot you often need to freshen up your mouth, so this kind of attention to detail really showed the owner's thoughtfulness. It's a place that cares about even the little things, which left me with a good impression right to the end haha
