I'd like to introduce a Suwon course restaurant with a great atmosphere that's also perfect for a cheongmo (wedding invitation meetup). It's Hado (하도).
What kind of occasion suits Hado?
Hado is a casual dining course restaurant in Haenggung-dong, on Hyanggyo-ro in Palgal-gu, Suwon, and it suits wedding invitation meetups, blind dates and dates. For occasions like these, you end up checking the taste of the food, the atmosphere of the place and even how the meal is put together.

I wanted to get away from my usual menus and have a slightly special meal, somewhere formal enough for the occasion but still comfortable for chatting. While looking, I found this Suwon course restaurant, Hado.

Hado is said to aim for casual dining that holds something special within its comfort. You can feel that atmosphere from the entrance.

Hado's atmosphere and service
The inside of Hado is done in dark tones, and the accent lighting makes the mood really nice. When you step in, a staff member confirms your reservation and greets you kindly.

The tableware on the table is neatly and cleanly set.

Hado also runs a receipt review event.

Hado basic course: price and what's in it
The menu I chose this time was the Hado basic course at ₩45,000 per person. It comes in this order: two starters, two pastas (minari yuja bisque pasta and pomodoro), chicken breast sous vide steak, and Earl Grey ice cream.

At exactly ten past the hour, they started preparing the food right away. The chefs were working hard making it.

Starters: pea tart and sweet shrimp apple tart
The Hado basic course began with two starters.

The pea tart was fun, a familiar ingredient in a fresh new form. I liked the peas' gentle sweetness and mild, clean flavor.

The next starter was the sweet shrimp apple tart. The sweet shrimp has a soft texture and a sweet flavor, and the apple is delicious with its fresh taste and aroma. Starting with a light appetizer put me in a great mood, haha.

Pasta 1: minari yuja bisque pasta
The first pasta was the minari yuja bisque pasta. At a glance, it's a pasta built so you can enjoy the fragrance of minari (water dropwort), the fresh flavor of yuja (citron) and the deep taste of bisque sauce all in one plate.

The minari has its distinctive fragrant flavor, the yuja brings a zesty aroma and a fresh feel, and the bisque sauce has the deep flavor drawn out of shellfish. Lovely.

Pasta 2: pomodoro
The other pasta in the Hado basic course was the pomodoro, a pasta where you enjoy a sauce centered on tomato.

Its charm is that the freshness of the tomato blends naturally into the pasta, so it's easy to eat without feeling heavy.

Main: chicken breast sous vide steak
Then came what you could call the main: the chicken breast sous vide steak. Chicken breast is known for its mild taste, and with sous vide cooking it's slowly cooked at a low temperature to keep the moisture in, so I was looking forward to a steak with a tender texture.

Thanks to its mild flavor, the chicken breast went well with various sauces and sides, and eaten with the purée sauce it was good.

Because the chicken breast is cooked sous vide, it's tender yet substantial, and I really liked that. I think people who watch their protein would be very happy with the Hado basic course.

Dessert: Earl Grey ice cream
The basic course ends with Earl Grey ice cream.

One bite and it's an ice cream with the fragrant flavor of black tea, so I got the tea aroma and a smooth texture together. And there were tasty chocolate chips too.

Thanks to the dessert after the meal, I could finish the whole course on a happy note.

When I'd recommend Hado
Hado is a dining restaurant that suits days when you want to eat with music in a quiet atmosphere, days when you're planning a blind date or a date, and days when you want a change of pace with someone precious. If you're looking for a Gyeonggi Suwon course restaurant or a Haenggung-dong date restaurant, go to Hado!
