Jamsil coffee shop in Seoul for tiramisu and hot yuja tea: Sese Coffee

Hi, this is Mango Lingo. Today I went out with my mom for some quality time in Jamsil and found a café with really good vibes, so I wanted to share it. Sese Coffee in Jamsil is about a 10-minute walk from Seokchon Lake, so it's a great stop after a walk. They specialize in drip coffee and also sell their own beans — the owner had such an expert vibe, haha.

Where is Sese Coffee Songni-dan-gil, and what are the hours?

Sese Coffee Songni-dan-gil is located at 11 Baekjegobun-ro 46-gil, 1st floor, Songpa-gu, Seoul, and is open daily from 10 AM to 8 PM. The whole space had a wood-toned, plant-filled interior that felt really relaxing.

For desserts, they sell tiramisu, levain cookies, and pound cake.

Inside Sese Coffee: interior and seating

The inside of Sese Coffee feels a bit cozier than the exterior suggests, since the roastery space takes up quite a bit of room. Maybe that's why it felt so professional! There are bar-style seats right in front of where the owner makes the drinks, plus a mix of 4-person and 2-person tables.

When I visited, I was surprised how many people were inside — only two tables were left open. There were people buying beans, people just picking up takeout, people sitting and drinking, solo visitors, couples on dates, groups meeting up — all kinds. Jamsil really is popping these days.

As a Jamsil roastery café, there's a coffee bean roasting machine tucked in one corner, and beans for sale in another. If you brew your own coffee at home, it's worth taking a closer look.

What we ordered at Sese Coffee and what it cost

Peach black iced tea ₩6,000 Yuja strout tea, hot ₩5,500 Tiramisu cake ₩8,000

Hot yuja strout (citron tea), 5,500 won

Sese Coffee's yuja (citron) strout tea has zero sweetness, so I'd highly recommend it to anyone who's not into sweet drinks! It's clean and not sugary, so pairing it with the sweet tiramisu felt really balanced. Every time I lifted the cup, that gentle, fragrant citron scent drifted up and just put me in a good mood. Turns out it's caffeine-free and made with Goheung yuja, Jeju tangerine peel, and Buyeo barley sprouts — no wonder the flavor felt so distinct!

Peach black iced tea, 6,000 won

Peach black iced tea is an iced-only menu item! I was a little worried it might be too sweet before ordering, but that worry turned out to be totally unnecessary — the sweetness was perfectly restrained. The subtle peach flavor let the deep black tea take the lead, so there wasn't a hint of a heavy aftertaste — super clean. Clean and refreshing, exactly what you want to cool off with!

Tiramisu cake, 8,000 won

Sese Coffee's tiramisu cake is ₩8,000 and the slice is pretty generous in size. One bite in, it was incredibly soft and melt-in-your-mouth, and the cream wasn't just plain cream — it tasted like mascarpone cheese cream! I can't say exactly why, but my taste buds could tell this tiramisu was different from other places'. So, so good, haha.

It was there, and then it was gone. Haha!

I want to start going out with my mom to different places whenever I get the chance. Eating good food and shopping together — what could be better?

I took the leftover drink to go, and the staff thoughtfully topped it up with extra ice, which was really handy. The owner was so kind! If you're looking for a nice-vibe roastery café with great desserts near Jamsil or Seokchon Lake, definitely give Sese Coffee a visit! ☕❤️

After the café: BIGBANG's 20th anniversary at Seokchon Lake

After leaving the café, I noticed the area around Seokchon Lake had been prettily decorated for BIGBANG's 20th anniversary. Since I was there, I checked it out and it was lovely. They said the lights turn on at 8:19 PM, so keep that in mind if you visit!

The Pokémon 30th anniversary Muneung Dowon pop-up had an insane number of people. I heard from Reels that even going early in the morning, you'd get a number in the hundreds, so I just watched from the escalator going up and down and lived vicariously through Reels, haha.

Same story with the BIGBANG pop-up — only people with reservations could enter and buy things, so I only got to see it through Instagram, haha. I'm waiting to watch the 20th anniversary concert on Coupang Live and I'm so excited. A living-room concert, yes!

As for me, I spent Sunday grinning ear to ear watching Byeon Woo-seok's Bangkok Asia tour fan meeting, and I'm still basking in the afterglow, haha.
