Haeundae Korean BBQ Friday dinner with Tabling waitlist: Gwang-anmok
In short
Gwang-anmok Haeundae Branch (광안목 해운대점) is a Korean BBQ restaurant on Gunam-ro in Haeundae, Busan, known for dry-aged pork neck. The blogger arrived at 6 PM on a Friday, joined the Tabling waitlist, and ordered the A set for two (57,000 won) plus My Mom's Doenjang Stew (6,000 won), a soybean paste stew, and the A set came with complimentary butter-grilled vegetables. Because staff grill the meat at a central station, the meal at Gwang-anmok Haeundae Branch is smoke-free and relaxed, which makes it an easy pick for Korean BBQ in Haeundae.

Today I'm recommending a great BBQ place in Haeundae! It's Gwang-anmok (광안목), which has branches in Gwangalli and Haeundae in Busan, and it's known for its aged meat.
Gwang-anmok's pork neck is dry-aged, which evaporates moisture from the meat, deepens the flavor and makes it more tender. I really enjoyed it, and honestly the pork neck was much softer and tastier than the pork belly.
If it's your first visit, I'd recommend ordering a set menu or the an-moksal (pork neck) 😋
Gwang-anmok Haeundae Branch: Hours and Parking

- ✔️ Break time: daily 15:00–16:30

For parking, use the Hyundai parking lot right behind the restaurant. It's also easy to reach from Haeundae and Haeundae Station.

The building is big, so you'll easily spot the sign as you walk by!

The Haeundae Branch is on the 2nd floor.

How Long Is the Wait at 6 PM on a Friday?
I visited at 6 PM on a Friday and the waiting list had just started! If you haven't booked, definitely join the waitlist on Tabling. The restaurant is fairly big, so I didn't wait very long.

There are waiting seats on the 1st floor and the middle floor, so waiting was comfortable.

They also had wet wipes and deodorizer in the hallway.

A Smoke-Free Dining Room and the Self-Serve Bar
The inside was clean overall.

At Gwang-anmok the meat comes out already grilled. Staff cook it at a well-ventilated station in the middle, so the dining room doesn't fill with smoke, which I loved.

The aged meat was neatly displayed in the fridge.

The dining room is quite spacious with plenty of seats.
I liked the modern interior, not what you'd expect from a BBQ place, and it wasn't too noisy either, which suits the mood.
It was really hot that day, but the air conditioning worked so well that I stayed cool even sitting in front of the grill!

There's a self-serve bar in the middle of the restaurant too. Nicely kept, right?

You can easily refill side dishes. Lettuce isn't part of the basic setup, but the self-serve bar had it.

I liked that the water came in hygienic disposable servings, and the wet wipes were paper ones, which I found interesting haha.

Please check the menu! Set menus come with grilled vegetables as a service, and you can order easily on the tablet at your table.

Can a BBQ restaurant really be this classy? The grill even has lighting. Such a great mood, right?

A Set for Two at ₩57,000: How Much Food Is It?
The meat came out quickly. We ordered the set for two without hesitation. The first order has to be at least 3 servings. Since the meat is dry-aged and one serving is 130 g, I think even 3 servings would be just the right amount.

With a set order you get a platter of butter-grilled vegetables: tomato, garlic, corn, potato, basil, green onion and king oyster mushroom. It's super generous, so I recommend ordering a set haha.

Here's the table spread that comes with the meat. So many kinds, right? There were lots of pickles (jangajji), plus white kimchi, mustard leaf kimchi and a dropwort (minari) vegetable salad, so you can try lots of combinations with the meat.

You know corn and potatoes are even better grilled in butter, right? They arrive fully cooked, so you can pick whatever you like.

Don't Miss the Basil Wraps
I especially hope you'll try this basil wrap. It's so fragrant and goes really well with the pork neck.

They said pork neck is best slightly rare, so they took it off the grill early, and they put basil on the pork belly to infuse the aroma! They watched it until everything was cooked and recommended tasty combinations, which made it so easy.

Ul-eomma's Doenjang Stew (울엄마가 만든 된장찌개), ₩6,000
The doenjang stew (soybean paste stew) here is called "Ul-eomma's Doenjang Stew" (literally "stew made by my mom"). Unlike the ssamjang-based stews at other BBQ places, it's a truly rich, homestyle doenjang jjigae, and I loved it.

It was packed with tofu, meat and vegetables. I heard the stew is free if you go at lunch time, so keep that in mind!
The atmosphere was great, the meat came fully grilled so it was relaxing, and the staff were so kind! The dry-aged pork neck was delicious too, so I recommend Gwang-anmok as a BBQ restaurant in Haeundae 🫶
