Jeonpo brow & lash salon: subtle curl for limp lashes, Double D
In short
Double D is an eyebrow and eyelash salon on Jeonpo-daero in Busanjin, Busan, between Bujeon Station and Seomyeon Station. After being happy with an earlier eyebrow treatment at Double D, the writer returned for a lash perm, which they had recently started getting, and Double D lifted their limp, drooping lashes into a soft, natural curl that isn't over the top. If you want lashes that look naturally good and defined rather than sharply upturned, the Double D lash perm is a good fit.

Why I went back to Double D in Jeonpo
I got this Jeonpo lash perm at Double D, where I had an eyebrow treatment before. I heard they recently started offering lash perms too, so I went back.
When I do my makeup, I always feel lashes shape the whole mood more than you'd expect. Mine aren't totally straight, but they're weak, so even with a curler they droop fast, which is why I get a lash perm regularly T_T My last perm was starting to wear off, and while I was wondering where to go, I suddenly remembered a place I'd visited ages ago for an eyebrow treatment and loved. That's Double D (더블디) in Jeonpo :-)

Where is Double D and what is the salon like?
Double D is on Jeonpo-daero in Busanjin-gu, between Bujeon Station and Seomyeon Station, so it's easy to reach. It doesn't feel far from either one, which makes it handy to drop by before or after meeting someone.
It had been a while, so I walked in feeling a little nostalgic, and the whole place was still clean and comfortable. The first thing I noticed was that the owner is still as kind as ever! Skill matters, of course, but I think communication matters just as much in treatments like this, and it's an atmosphere where you can easily talk about the style you want and anything that has bothered you before.

Consultation: asking for a natural, not-too-dramatic curl
The most important thing I told the owner in the Double D lash perm consultation was "I don't want them curling up too much!!!" She looked at the condition of my lashes, talked it through thoroughly, and set the direction.
Sharply upturned lashes are pretty these days too, but I prefer a look that's naturally defined, so I said I wanted the curl to look nice without feeling artificial.

My limp lashes before the lash perm
Before the treatment, the owner checked my lashes. My last perm hadn't completely worn off, and a bit of it was still there, but the problem was that they had no strength and the curl drooped in an in-between way. So from the front, my lashes looked a little less present T_T She does a quick consultation before the treatment '-'

How thorough is the Double D lash perm?
Looking at the before photo, it was clear that the issue was lack of lift more than the curl itself. Once the treatment started at Double D, I really felt how meticulous it was.
A lash perm is a treatment where small details make a big difference. If it's done carelessly, the curl directions come out all different or the tips bend, but none of that happened here, and she worked calmly. She kept checking in on whether anything felt uncomfortable, and there was barely any stinging or irritation in my eyes, so I could relax.
And one thing I personally liked: she didn't just curl everything up hard. She adjusted it naturally to my eye shape and the existing curl.

Lash perm before and after: how did it turn out?
The Double D lash perm gave a natural curl that doesn't scream "done" but makes the eyes look more alive. When I looked in the mirror afterward, that was my very first thought: huh? It's not super obvious, but my eyes look awake! That was exactly the feeling I wanted.
It didn't look like an obvious lash perm. It looked like I just naturally have good lashes. That's a surprisingly hard style to get, so I was happy with it. The after photo shows the difference even better. Before, there was still a bit of perm left but the lashes sagged limply; after, they looked firm overall, with the curl direction tidied up.

Even the way my eyes open looked different. Every single lash felt lifted, but not heavy or overly round, which I loved. These days I prefer a natural mood over heavy makeup, so this style is the one I reach for.
Next-day makeup: mascara without a curler
I was even happier when I did my makeup the day after the Double D lash perm. The curl stays naturally lifted without a curler, so prep time was shorter, and just a light coat of mascara left my eyes looking tidy. Even bare-faced, my eyes looked less tired, which was nice.
Who is the Double D lash perm in Jeonpo best for?
If you're looking for a Jeonpo lash perm and a sharply upturned style feels like too much, while you like a naturally defined look, Double D seems like a good choice. Above all, the owner looked carefully and matched the feel I wanted, so I could relax throughout.
I think a truly natural lash perm is the kind you don't get tired of, and this result was exactly that. It made me realize it's no accident that you go back to a place you were happy with for eyebrows, and a place that's meticulous really does show in the results. I'll probably go back next time my perm is due. Just like my happy memory of the eyebrow treatment, I was satisfied with this lash perm too, which made it a memorable visit ^_^
