Getting to Double D: Bujeon Station Exit 4, 2nd floor above Monkey Brown

Double D's official address is in Jeonpo-dong, but the closest subway station is Bujeon Station, so walking from Bujeon Station Exit 4 is the easiest way! 🚇

There's no big signboard outside the building, so it can be a little confusing the first time, haha. Just remember the Monkey Brown shop on the 1st floor and head straight up to the 2nd floor of that building. It's near the Red Cross building and the main gate of the Lotte Castle Sky apartments, so it should be easy to find~!

Inside Double D: a spacious, studio-like salon

The moment the door opened and I stepped in, I was so surprised, because it was way bigger and trendier than I'd imagined from outside 🫧

The modern interior showing off the owner's stylish eye and the pretty props everywhere made it feel like a studio!

The waiting area is cozy and comfortable too, so a friend or companion can come along and wait without feeling awkward. On one side there are various teas and snacks you can help yourself to, which felt really thoughtful ☕

As you'd expect from a director with 14+ years of experience, the walls were packed with competition awards and certificates, and there's a professional training space for teaching students, which really boosted my trust.

In the treatment room there were 2 soft, warm beds, and they covered me with a fluffy blanket, so I almost fell into a deep sleep during the whole treatment.... It felt like a good long rest, so healing 😴

It's embarrassing, but let me show you my "before" lashes ahead of the Double D no-glue perm 🫣

As you can see, my lashes are thin and weak so they droop, and they also point in all kinds of directions, so this was a really high-difficulty case. Even with mascara they smudged quickly and had very little presence!

No-glue lash perm review: no stinging, curl lifted from the root

Here's the "after" right after the Double D no-glue perm 👁️✨ Don't my lashes have real presence now?! Even though my lashes aren't easy to direct, she lifted the curl carefully and attentively from the root!

This was my first time trying the no-glue technique, and probably because no glue is used, I had no stinging or foreign-body feeling at all, and my eyelids felt super light afterward. Since it keeps the lashes' natural line, they looked smooth and neat with no kinks or damage, and just a swipe of lash serum made my look much more defined!

They say the curl usually lasts about 4–5 weeks, so I'm already excited about how much shorter my morning commute makeup will be 👏🏻
