Anniversary pasta spot in Jeonpo, Busan: berry ade Best Set, Brassway
In short
Brassway Seomyeon-Jeonpo is an Italian home-style pasta restaurant in an alley off Jeonpo Café Street in Busanjin, Busan. The writer booked ahead and ordered the Best Set for ₩59,000: galbi pasta (braised short rib pasta), chicken cream risotto, fried baby potatoes, berry ade and starter bread. Brassway was sooo good as a Jeonpo, Busan restaurant! The atmosphere is pretty too, so it seems like a great date course for a blind date or an anniversary. This is my story about Brassway (브라스웨이), a pasta spot in Jeonpo.
Where is Brassway Seomyeon-Jeonpo and what are its hours?

Brassway is at 11-5 Jeonpo-daero 209beon-gil, Busanjin-gu, right by the Jeonpo Café Street, so it's super easy to get to! You turn into an alley off the café street, so it isn't noisy and the location has a nice calm feel.

Where to park for Brassway in Jeonpo
Brassway has no parking lot of its own, but it covers a ₩1,000 parking fee if you use a nearby lot. The covered lots are Ssangyong Parking Lot and Gate688, and note that Gate688 doesn't accept SUVs.

The exterior is a mint-colored building in a Jeonpo alley, so it catches the eye and was easy to find! It's a small dining space that suits the alley vibe of Jeonpo, and it felt cute and cozy.

It's compact, so it seemed good for couples having a meal, a blind date or an anniversary. Brassway has a cozy, pretty atmosphere.
Do you need a reservation at Brassway? Interior and seating

For a blind date or anniversary, a reservation at Brassway is a must!! I booked ahead, and right after we walked in the place filled up and a little waiting line started to form.

The place isn't big, but it's laid out charmingly, mostly with tables for two and four, and there are window seats too! In this kind of weather the window seats have such a nice mood..♥

Overall it feels warm and calm, not a noisy restaurant, a great atmosphere for a relaxed meal and conversation!! Since I'd reserved, they even wrote my name on the table, which I liked.

It's good for brunch with a friend and fine for a date too! In Jeonpo you usually follow a meal with a café, so eating pasta at Brassway and then wandering the Jeonpo Café Street to a café seemed perfect for a blind date or date course.

And there was a letter waiting on the table. It shows Brassway's character: the concept is Italian home-style (Gajeong) dining. Dishes are cooked to order, so it can take about 20 minutes on average, just so you know.

I also heard the owner trained at Le Cordon Bleu, one of the world's three great culinary schools! I think I saw that school on Culinary Class Wars..! So cool.
Brassway menu and prices

The Brassway Best Set is galbi pasta + cream risotto + fried baby potatoes + ade + starter bread for ₩59,000. À la carte dishes are under ₩20,000, which is a reasonable price!

And if you stop by a café first and come for dinner, wine or beer goes well too. They have wine by the glass, so it seems great to pair with the food!!
Brassway Best Set: our honest review

I ordered the Brassway Best Set. It comes as galbi pasta + chicken cream risotto + fried baby potatoes + lemonade + starter bread, and I swapped the ade for a berry ade.

Doesn't it look so appetizing already? It's convenient to order everything at once as a set, and it looks pretty too, so I was so excited before even eating.
Starter bread: focaccia with lemon cream cheese

The starter bread came out first: focaccia with lemon cream cheese. The cream cheese was yummy and the bread was great too!! It was nice to nibble on bread while waiting for the pasta.
Fried baby potatoes with gochujang ranch sauce

First the side dish, fried baby potatoes! The little potatoes are fried whole until crispy, so you get a crunchy outside and a fluffy inside.

The gochujang (red chili paste) ranch sauce served with them is the highlight!! The mild potato plus the spicy, nutty sauce makes it feel like a fancy potato dish.
What does Brassway's signature galbi pasta taste like?

The main was Brassway's galbi pasta, which is also its signature dish! According to the letter from earlier, it's a pasta that reworks the owner's father-in-law's 20-year galbijjim (braised short rib) recipe in Brassway's own way.

Bringing braised short rib into pasta is pretty unique already, right?! Eating galbijjim with pasta isn't a common combo, haha. But when I actually tried it, it went together way better than I expected!

The soy sauce-based galbi sauce soaks well into the noodles, so you taste galbi's deep savory richness with every bite of pasta. There's a slight spiciness too, so it isn't greasy at all and it's delicious!! Only the bones sit on top and the meat is all separated, so it was easy to eat.
Roast chicken cream risotto made with barley
Next was the roast chicken cream risotto. Being cream risotto it's soft and thick, and there are mushrooms inside, so the texture is great!

Brassway's risotto in particular isn't the usual rice risotto but a barley risotto, so the chew has a bit more life to it. It seems to be al dente style (showing off what I learned from Culinary Class Wars). With roast chicken on top, eating it with the cream risotto was nutty and filling.

And the berry ade, pleasantly tangy and sweet, was good too! Nice interior, and every dish was genuinely delicious: Brassway is a Jeonpo pasta spot I sincerely recommend to anyone looking for a Jeonpo blind date place or anniversary course.
