Samseong Station burger restaurant on baseball game day: Bas Burger

I had plans near Samseong Station today and was craving a burger, so I finally checked out Bas Burger, a place I'd been wanting to try for ages. It's the favorite burger spot of Kkulkey, a YouTuber I love, so I was really curious. I'd kept thinking of it as a burger place I could only eat if I went up to Seoul, and now that I've finally visited... well, it's become my favorite. Here's my review of Bas Burger.

Where is Bas Burger Samseong Station Branch, and what is it like on a game day?

Bas Burger Samseong Station Branch is located close by right after you exit Samseong Station. There's a baseball stadium nearby, so a ton of people order takeout — the day I went, it seemed like the LG Twins had a game, because there were so many people in team jerseys haha.

Doesn't this look so good? This is Bas Burger, a burger spot near Samseong Station. I highly recommend it for lunch if you're around Samseong Station. Dinner too — because they've got great beer and plenty of chicken menu items that make perfect drinking snacks.

Terrace, folding doors and seats for solo diners

Here's the exterior of Bas Burger, a Samseong Station spot. There's a terrace area too, so you can enjoy a burger and beer while catching the autumn breeze. With the folding doors open, the inside felt nice and airy.

I took some photos of the interior too. There were lots of office workers and students, and plenty of people eating solo. With so many tables and dedicated solo-dining spots, everyone seemed to be enjoying their meal at ease.

The restroom is inside the restaurant too, which was really convenient. And being able to order easily via kiosk right at the table was great.

The Bas Burger menu and the free potato chips

I snapped a photo of the menu board — check it out for prices and options. There's also a good way to enjoy your meal here: you can freely help yourself to as many potato chips as you like. And the fries were so warm and crispy, too. I get why they sell beer here now... you can even get it as a set with your burger.

Ordering the Hawaiian burger and double bacon cheeseburger sets

You can enjoy any sauce you like for free, and fries come as a service too — talk about generous. I ordered the Hawaiian burger, and my partner got the double bacon cheeseburger. We both got them as set meals. I swapped my drink for the cider.

How do the bun, the sauce and the patty taste?

So the bun is fluffy, moist, soft, buttery, and chewy all at once, and the sauce has this savory umami depth...

The patty juices are soft, the bacon is packed with smoky flavor, and the combination makes for an insanely good, now-favorite burger. My all-time favorite burger.

The free sauce lineup and the freshly fried fries

They just give you this many sauces without charging extra?? One by one, onto the burger, onto the fries...

Keep dipping and it's pure bliss. For me, Bas Burger's sauces are the best. With sauce this good, I'm super excited for the chicken too — sauce makes or breaks fried chicken, right?

And the fries are a scam (in the best way). Freshly fried in-store, holy moly they're crispy, and the oil is so clean that there's zero greasy aftertaste. Ordering two fries was such a good call. I heard the sweet potato fries are really famous too, but since this was my first time at Bas Burger, I started with the regular fries — next time I'll try the sweet potato ones. If the regular fries are this good, imagine a version even tastier than this?? I can't resist that. So excited.

Is Bas Burger Samseong Station Branch worth a visit?

That was my review of Bas Burger, a burger spot in Samseong-dong I enjoyed down to the very last bite. If you're heading to Samseong Station, Bas Burger is a must. Next time I'll grab takeout to bring to the baseball stadium — eating a burger while watching a game sounds amazing.
