This time I visited Clermont Monde, near Cheongdam Station. I went in for a facial, but the upper body work turned out to be a much bigger part of the session than I expected, so afterward not just my face but my neck and shoulders felt noticeably lighter too. It's about a 5-6 minute walk from Exit 9 of Cheongdam Station, so it's fairly accessible. And parking is usually the thing that worries me most about Cheongdam skin care salons, but here parking is available, which made visiting by car easy too. They texted me the parking spot in advance — they let you know exactly which reserved spot is yours!

Inside Clermont Monde: a converted two-story house

The first thing you notice at this Gangnam skin care salon is how quiet and cozy it feels. The space looks like a converted house, which gave the whole place a really comfortable feeling.

There was a sink, mouthwash, saline for cleaning contact lenses, a comb, a hair dryer — all the basics were there.

Upstairs was the treatment room, and the bed was kept warm, so I wasn't cold while lying there in the gown. I thought it would be a comfortable space for anyone who wants a quiet Gangnam skin care session before an important occasion like a wedding or a photo shoot.

The facial step by step: cleansing, oil and dead-skin care, hydration, ampoule, pack

My facial at Clermont Monde started with cleansing. They cleared away residue left on the skin, then addressed excess oil and buildup, then moved into hydration. With the season changing, my skin had been building up oil and feeling rough and dehydrated, so I really appreciated how thoroughly they cleaned things up right from the start. After that came a hydration and nutrition step using an ampoule, followed by a pack. Cleansing → oil/buildup care → hydration → ampoule → pack — it really felt like they were bringing my skin condition up step by step.

A facial that also covers the neck, back, shoulders, décolletage and chest

I came in for a facial, but they also loosened up my neck, shoulders, collarbone line, and upper chest. If you sit a lot for work, your shoulders tend to round forward and your neck area gets stiff and tight — and I'm definitely someone whose upper body is usually pretty locked up, so this was a focus area for me. They worked from around the neck, through the trapezius, along the collarbone line, loosening everything by hand, and it felt quite satisfying. Once my upper body had loosened up somewhat, the facial care continued.

After the massage, they applied plenty of ampoule and did device treatment on the skin, finishing everything off with a modeling pack. When it was all done, my face was so glowy — wow, I really had that 'just got a treatment' glow!
