In short
Eoneu Dal (어느달) is an Italian restaurant with floor-to-ceiling windows on Jeongmundong-gil in Pocheon, Gyeonggi, near Pocheon Art Valley. On weekends, a lot of you probably take a drive out of Seoul or plan a day trip to Pocheon spots like Art Valley and Sinbuk Springs. As the saying goes, even Mount Kumgang is better after a meal, and what you eat is the most important part of any trip, isn't it?
Today I'm telling you about a visit to Eoneu Dal (어느달), a Pocheon Art Valley restaurant that's already the talk of social media, where you can enjoy fantastic Italian food while looking out at Pocheon's lush, quiet nature. It's famous for its pasta and risotto, so I went with high expectations, and it had the view, the taste and the atmosphere all together, better than I hoped. So here's a quick introduction!
Where is Eoneu Dal in Pocheon?
Eoneu Dal is a standalone-building Italian restaurant at 54 Jeongmundong-gil, Pocheon-si, Gyeonggi-do. It's a convenient stop on a trip to Pocheon Art Valley.

Is Eoneu Dal's atmosphere good for a Pocheon date?
Eoneu Dal catches your eye from the outside with its modern, clean floor-to-ceiling window design. Inside, the huge glass windows frame Pocheon's fresh green scenery, giving you an openness and coziness at once, like a high-end gallery restaurant in the woods.
The tables are spaced widely, so you can chat with your companions and have a relaxed meal without being bothered by anyone around. It's great for couples' dates, and just as good for a weekend outing with family. Thanks to the soft sunlight, it's a true sunshine spot where photos of the food and of people both come out like your best shots.

The inside is even cozier and really nice for a date, and above all the white tone is so appealing. Personally, I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a Pocheon date course.

What did we order at Eoneu Dal?
We ordered four dishes at Eoneu Dal: a salmon salad (M), beef tomato pasta, garlic shrimp pasta and crab risotto. To really feel what Eoneu Dal can do, we ordered a bit of everything, from salad to pasta to risotto. The dishes were impressive from the moment they arrived, so let me go through them one by one!

Pre-meal salt bread, worth ordering a second time
The pre-meal bread at Eoneu Dal is salt bread (soegeum-ppang), and it was honestly tastier than a bakery's, so we ordered more.

Salmon salad (M): hearty even in size M
The salmon salad that kicked off the meal was freshness itself in its plating. Generous slices of thick-cut smoked salmon sat on crisp, fresh seasonal vegetables. The salmon's soft, nutty texture came through, and the light dressing made it a great appetizer to get the appetite going. Even though it was the M size, the portion was quite generous, and it worked well as a refresher between bites of the heavier dishes.
The sauce was good, and overall it felt healthy and tasty at the same time.

Beef tomato pasta: the classic nobody dislikes
The beef tomato pasta at Eoneu Dal stuck to the basics while still having deep flavor. The sauce was on a different level from store-bought, with the rich, fresh savoriness of real tomato. Well-sautéed beef was added generously, and the nutty juiciness of the meat with the tomato sauce was superb as I chewed. The pasta was cooked just right (al dente), so I could enjoy the sauce-soaked noodles with their springy bite to the last strand. It showed what a classic Pocheon pasta restaurant should be: something everyone can like.

Garlic shrimp pasta: a strong recommendation
The garlic shrimp pasta at Eoneu Dal is a dish that any Korean who loves the aroma of garlic will surely fall for. The bittersweet flavor of roasted garlic soaks deep into the oil sauce, and from the first bite you get a rush of delight. The plump, large shrimp came in generous amounts, so I could fully enjoy that springy pop. Even though it's an oil-based pasta, it wasn't greasy at all, and the clean, addictive savoriness meant I couldn't put my fork down. If you visit Eoneu Dal, this is the one I'd really recommend.
It honestly looks great too! It's so photogenic, with real Instagram vibes.
Crab risotto: the highlight of the day
The crab risotto at Eoneu Dal was the highlight of the day and a stroke of genius. The overwhelming crab presentation when it arrived made it impossible not to pick up the camera. The rich ocean flavor of crab meat and crab innards melts thickly into the cream-based sauce, so every spoonful sets off a deep nutty richness in your mouth. The rice was cooked perfectly, popping as you chew without going mushy, which added to the fun. There was no fishy crab smell at all, only a soft, rich flavor, and I was so satisfied that I scraped up every last drop of the sauce.

Honestly, I was happy with all the dishes! It's been a while since I've eaten something this good, so if you're traveling to Pocheon, you absolutely have to try it.

Here's the full shot. Isn't it really generous?
