Ulsan Songjeong Mexican restaurant with fajitas and baby chairs: Elato

I'd been to the Samsan location of Elato before and loved it, so when I heard they'd opened a new branch in Songjeong, I had to go check it out!

I actually used to live in Songjeong, so coming back to this neighborhood after a while felt weirdly like coming home haha. This time I went with my husband (aka Baby Jo's chaperone) and our baby Joy, all three of us on a mission to find a good Songjeong restaurant that works with a baby in tow :)

Elato Songjeong is located at 38 Baksangjin 10-ro, 1st floor, Buk-gu, Ulsan, and is open from 11:30 to 21:00. Break time runs 15:00–17:00, last order is at 20:30, and parking, takeout, delivery, and reservations are all available.

Having dedicated parking made it really convenient to visit by car. Since we were bringing Joy along, we packed the stroller too, and being able to walk straight from the parking lot into the restaurant made everything so much easier.

What we ordered at Elato: my husband's first Mexican meal

This was actually the first time my husband had ever tried Mexican food in his life.

So before he even got to look at the menu, I'd already decided — I ordered exactly what I wanted to eat! I figured the fajitas, which I'd already vetted at the Samsan branch as the signature dish, couldn't go wrong.

Elato Songjeong's fajitas looked colorful and hearty from the moment they arrived, especially with the added avocado. The tortillas, vegetables, and tomato all came with one free refill, so the portion was generous enough that we both left patting our full bellies.

With the avocado added to the fajitas, the dish looked super colorful and hearty right from the start!

Wrapping the well-grilled meat and vegetables in warm tortillas however you like was such a fun way to eat. Adding the creamy avocado on top made the flavor even richer, and it was exactly my kind of dish.

My husband, trying Mexican food for the first time, said 'Whoa, this is way better than I expected,' and happily wrapped and ate his fill lol. I'd picked the dish entirely on my own judgment, so seeing him enjoy it so much made me weirdly proud.

💡 Small tip! It was so good that we ended up getting a refill on the tortillas, vegetables, and tomato! With the refill, we packed everything in so well that we both left happily patting our full stomachs — the portion was more than enough.

Birria ramen free with the receipt review event

The birria ramen we received through the review event was a treat in itself! After enjoying the savory, slightly rich fajitas, finishing off with a hot, spicy bowl of ramen felt like the perfect Korean-style course meal 🤭 It really hit the spot and left us feeling properly full and satisfied.

Why Elato Ulsan Songjeong is easy with a baby

When eating out with young Joy, taste matters, but whether there's a baby chair or not makes a huge difference. Elato Songjeong had a clean, well-maintained baby chair, so we could sit her comfortably and eat with ease.

Moving around with the stroller was easy too, and the baby-friendly facilities were well set up, so there was no worry at all about bringing our little one along for a family meal.

Is Elato Ulsan Songjeong worth a visit?

Delicious Mexican food in the familiar, nostalgic neighborhood of Songjeong where I used to live! Even my husband, a total Mexican food newbie, was impressed — this is a place that's hard not to like.

We thoroughly enjoyed the hearty fajitas with added avocado and the tortilla refills, and left very satisfied.
