Gumi brunch café with jambon-beurre: Hands Coffee Goa-eup
In short
Hands Coffee Gumi Goa-eup Branch is a café on Wondaero in Goa-eup, Gumi, with a large parking lot, lawn, and care kids zone. I tried Brunch Set A with shrimp tomato pasta and soft jambon-beurre; the pasta grew on me, while the soft, not-too-salty sandwich was the better part.

I went to Hands Coffee Gumi Goa-eup Branch (핸즈커피 구미고아읍점) in Goa-eup, Gumi, for brunch. There was a set with pasta and jambon-beurre, and I also noticed the large lawn and space for visitors with children.

Where is it, and what is the parking like?
The café is at 96 Wondaero in Goa-eup, Gumi. It is in a four-story building in a country-house complex, and the café occupies the first and second floors.
The parking lot was large, so I did not have to worry about parking when I visited. The front and back of the building had noticeably different atmospheres.
Is there space to sit with children or relax quietly?
The first floor had high ceilings and felt open rather than cramped. There was also a care kids zone, so I thought it would be good for visiting with children.
Up on the second floor, there was another seating area. It seemed suited to quietly taking a break or coming on a date. The building also had an elevator.
What comes with the brunch set?
Brunch was available à la carte, and there were four set menus. We chose Hands Brunch Set A, which came with one pasta and a soft jambon-beurre. For the pasta, we chose shrimp tomato pasta over paccheri cream pasta.
At the time of my visit, the café was also advertising a 10% discount on all drinks for customers carrying a pregnancy badge or maternity handbook.
How was the shrimp tomato pasta?
The noodles were pleasantly chewy, and the tomato sauce was not overpowering. At first, I felt the flavor was a little lacking, which was disappointing, but it developed a strangely appealing quality as I ate.
I enjoyed eating the plump shrimp with the noodles. Since the sauce was not strongly flavored, it was easy to eat.
Is the soft jambon-beurre bread hard?
The soft jambon-beurre was the item I had been looking forward to before going. I had originally planned to eat only that, but there was a set that included it with pasta, so I ordered both.
The ciabatta was generously filled with unsalted butter and jambon ham. I had wondered whether the bread would be hard, but it was less tough than expected—soft and chewy. The filling was moist, and even with the butter and ham, it was not too salty.
I also liked having it with the olives and tomatoes that came alongside.
Is there an outdoor space where children can move around?
Behind the building, there was a large lawn where children could run around. It felt different from the front, and with both the indoor care kids zone and outdoor space, it seemed like a good place to come for brunch with children.
