Cheonan garden brunch café for families: Pino Cafe

In short

Pino Cafe is a large brunch café in Pungse-myeon, Cheonan, with an outdoor garden and baby facilities. I visited with my mother, younger sister, and 13-month-old niece on a weekday morning, sharing pilaf, pizza, and a sandwich outdoors. The garden was quiet, and moving around with a stroller was comfortable.

How was a weekday morning visit with a child?

I visited Pino Cafe Cheonan (피노카페 천안) in Pungse-myeon, Cheonan, with my mother, younger sister, and 13-month-old niece. It was a brunch outing for three adults and one baby.

We arrived at the 10:00 AM opening time on a weekday. It was not crowded on the day I visited, so we could eat at a relaxed pace while looking out at the garden.

Are parking and baby facilities available?

In addition to Parking Lot 1 in front of the main building, there were also Lots 2 and 3. Parking Lot 3 is in front of the Taehaksan store.

There were high chairs, children's tableware, and a diaper-changing station, which made it comfortable to stay with my niece. The route was also easy to navigate with a stroller. Signs stated that pets could accompany visitors in the outdoor area.

Where is it and what are the operating hours?

The address is 99-23 Hyuyangnim-gil, Pungse-myeon, Dongnam-gu, Cheonan, Chungnam, South Korea. At the time the original post was written, it was listed as open daily from 10:00 AM to 8:30 PM, year-round. Cheonan Love Card and Zero Pay payments are also available.

What was it like to eat in the outdoor garden?

The large garden surrounding the café was neatly tended with grass, trees, and flowers. It was the first space that caught my eye when we arrived.

Because I was with my niece, I wanted to sit outside, and the sunny weather made us choose an outdoor table. The breeze and the view of the green garden felt refreshing.

Which brunch dishes did the three adults share?

For the three adults to share, we ordered three meal dishes and drinks.

  • Special sauce kimchi pilaf
  • Pastry corn cheese pizza
  • Croissant sandwich set
  • Hot blueberry rooibos
  • Iced Americano

Did the kimchi pilaf go well with the cheese dishes?

The special sauce kimchi pilaf had separate, fluffy grains rather than being soggy. The sauce was neither overpowering nor heavy, with both a spicy and savory flavor.

Cheese dishes alone can feel slightly rich, but alternating them with the pilaf worked well. My mother liked it best, saying it was not too rich and suited her taste.

What was the texture of the pastry corn cheese pizza?

With each bite, the layered pastry crust broke apart crisply. It was generously topped with sweet corn and savory cheese.

It was crisp outside and soft inside. Its gently sweet, savory flavor stayed with me.

Was the croissant sandwich set filling?

The croissant was filled with arugula, ham, cheese, and tomato. A subtle buttery aroma came together with crisp vegetables and sauce.

It came with sides, making it a meal that felt light but still filling.

How were the coffee and tea with brunch?

The iced Americano was savory and full-bodied, without sharp acidity. It was good to drink between bites of pizza and pilaf.

The blueberry rooibos, which I chose as a non-caffeinated drink, blended a subtle, sweet blueberry aroma smoothly with the tea. It was nice to drink warm while sitting outside.

Why would I return with my family?

Because we visited on a weekday morning, we could eat in the quiet garden, and the baby facilities and stroller route were comfortable. My mother and younger sister were also pleased with the garden and food. Next time, I would like to return with my husband and my two-year-old son, who could not join us this time.
