I went back to 5to7 Seongsu Main Branch because the atmosphere inside the café is just so good. And the soufflé is fluffy and seriously delicious!!
It's already famous as a top soufflé café in Seongsu, so I had high hopes on my first visit, and it beat them, which is why I'm writing up a second visit~!
What are the exterior and interior of 5to7 Seongsu Main Branch like?
5to7 Seongsu Main Branch looks like a converted old house from the outside, and once you step in, a warm wood-toned interior opens up. The exterior alone already had a really distinctive mood.
It feels like an older house that's been renovated, and the exterior, with its elegant old-fashioned charm still alive, is so pretty.
Even walking up the steps felt like going to grandma's house, which made it extra endearing, haha. But then you go inside and it's a totally different vibe!
The inside is a warm, moody space built around wood tones. The lighting is soft and there are plants here and there, so the space itself felt really comfortable.

5to7 Seongsu Main Branch also has mirror photo spots here and there, so it was great for taking mirror shots with my friend 📸 Lots of Seongsu cafés these days have awkward seating or feel chaotic, but this one is calm and warm overall, so it's nice to stay a long while.

How does the 5to7 iced café latte taste?
The café latte at 5to7 Seongsu Main Branch is smooth and nutty, not bitter or sharply acidic. My friend said, right after one sip, "The coffee here is really good." Once I tried it, I got why. The beans were really nutty. It's smooth and nutty rather than bitter or sour, so it's perfect with dessert.
It went so well with the soufflé, too.
What does the fresh mango soufflé taste like?
The 5to7 fresh mango soufflé is a two-tier soufflé topped with a whole half of a mango, served with cream. The look alone is insane… I immediately understood why people call this a top soufflé café in Seongsu.
They put a whole half mango on top and it looks so gorgeous. My friend and I gasped the second we took the photo, haha. But the taste is even better…
The soufflé is stacked in two fluffy tiers, and it melts the moment it hits your mouth. The texture is so soft and pillowy, it's a happy-making taste 😭 The cream comes on the side, and it's clean rather than heavy, so I kept dipping into it. With soufflé, the cream sometimes gets cloying or greasy, but here there was none of that at all.
And the mango is really sweet!! The fresh mango itself is so fresh and sugary that eating it with the soufflé was the best combo. Fluffy soufflé, sweet mango and smooth cream together, you just keep eating… And the portion was plenty for two!
How was the matcha soufflé from my first visit?
On my first visit to 5to7 Seongsu Main Branch, I had the matcha soufflé and an iced americano. So I'll leave a review of the matcha soufflé too 🍵
The 5to7 matcha soufflé was also super fluffy and soft. But the best part was that the matcha cream wasn't very sweet, more than I expected! Lots of places these days call something a matcha dessert and it's just sweet, but here the real "matcha" flavor comes through. I loved that the bitter, deep taste unique to green tea came through subtly.
If you like matcha, you'll know: it's not easy to find a dessert that tastes like proper matcha rather than just green tea, right? This one honestly tasted like something you could call a matcha soufflé in the true sense.
Fresh mango or matcha soufflé: which should you pick?
The fresh mango soufflé and matcha soufflé at 5to7 Seongsu Main Branch are both so good, in different ways, that I can't recommend just one. Get both!!!
Overall, the atmosphere, coffee and dessert all left me really satisfied, so I'd fully recommend it to anyone looking for a top soufflé café in Seongsu. It's great with a friend and works perfectly as a date café too 💛
