The hardest thing about dieting? Eating something tasty while still sticking to your diet plan!
Eating nothing but chicken breast is exhausting, but eating regular food makes you worry about calories, ugh ㅠㅠ
That's when Prefers came in handy. It's built on healthy meals but doesn't skimp on taste or fullness, so it was perfect for a solo lunch.
Prefers Diet Food Bundang Seohyeon: a one-minute walk from Seohyeon Station, easy for solo diners

Prefers Diet Food Bundang Seohyeon is easy to get to, just a minute from Seohyeon Station. The place itself is clean and pleasant, so eating alone felt no problem at all.

There are plenty of restaurants these days that allow solo dining, but some still make you feel awkward walking in alone. Prefers has a comfortable vibe where you can just come in, eat, and go.

It seemed especially good for people managing their diet while dieting or working out — the kind of place you'd want to come back to often.

Prefers runs on the concept that healthy food doesn't have to mean giving up taste, and the menu was pretty varied too.
Beef wasabi rice bowl with added chicken: how big is the portion, how strong is the seasoning?

That day I ordered two things: the beef wasabi rice bowl and the double flap-meat signature wrap. First up was the beef wasabi rice bowl — I added chicken on top to get more protein in.

The portion was bigger than expected haha. One bowl came packed with meat, rice, and vegetables, so it made for a really filling meal. And the part I liked most was the sauce!

Since it's a wasabi-based sauce, it could easily be too sharp or intense, but it was just mildly tangy and genuinely delicious eaten together with the meat and rice. I personally don't like overly salty food, and I liked that the seasoning overall wasn't too heavy.

The savory beef with a touch of wasabi sauce cut through any greasiness, and mixing it all with the rice made it a flavor I kept wanting to eat!
That said, since I like vegetables, the amount felt a little lacking. Next time I'll add veggies without a second thought haha. Add meat for protein and veggies too, and it'd be a truly complete meal!

Double flap-meat signature wrap: is it filling enough?
Second was the double flap-meat signature wrap! With 'double' right in the name, it really is loaded with meat haha.

Just one wrap was surprisingly filling, so I'd strongly recommend it to gym-goers and fitness enthusiasts. The flap meat in particular was tender rather than chewy, which I liked.

With meat and vegetables together inside the wrap, each bite had good texture, and it felt much cleaner to eat than meat alone.

Calories and protein listed for every menu item
One thing I really liked about eating at Prefers was how easy it was to check the nutrition info! Instead of just claiming to be 'healthy food,' they show calorie and protein content for each menu item, which would be especially convenient for people managing their diet while working out.

These details actually matter a lot when dieting. You need to roughly track how much protein and carbs you've had that day, and knowing the nutrition info of the dish itself makes planning your diet a lot easier.

Overall the meat felt tender and fresh, and the vegetables that came with it were crisp and fresh too. Healthy food often has an image of small portions or bland taste, but here the portions were surprisingly generous, which was satisfying too.

It seems especially good for days when you want to properly load up on protein after a workout, or when you're dieting and tired of the usual salad. It covers taste, protein, and fullness all at once! And since the prices aren't too heavy either, it feels like a better fit for people who need to manage their diet consistently, not just eat this way once or twice.
Verdict: worth it for a solo diet lunch near Seohyeon Station

Prefers is comfortable for solo dining and the store is pleasant, making it a great spot to come manage your diet. The meat is generous and the seasoning isn't too heavy, so you can eat well and stay healthy at the same time. Gym rats will probably love this place haha.
