Why I needed a portable book stand for working and reading at home
My job has me using a laptop often and looking through books all the time, so I practically have turtle neck already. Keeping your neck straight is important for avoiding forward-head posture, and that is exactly when you need a book stand! I also work from home now and then, so I needed a portable book stand.
This portable book stand I got to try was a great size for carrying around and lightweight too, so it was really easy to take with me.

Height adjustment and setup
As you can see, this is a book stand whose height you can adjust to escape turtle neck.
The setup instructions are detailed enough that even someone clumsy with their hands can put it together easily, so it was not difficult at all. Just follow the pictures exactly—just do not do it opposite to the picture!
To fold it, just do everything in reverse. After a few tries, you get used to it and can do it quickly.
Book stand assembly steps
First, open the book stand's top panel!
Next, raise and insert the auxiliary height support at the height you want. Of course, you can adjust it while using it too!
Then fit it in so that the protruding part of the auxiliary height support locks into the inner groove of the height support! It must not be loose!!

Then lower the angled support, lock the lower protrusion into the height you want, and slide it gently to the right to secure it.
Done!! It took less than 5 minutes, and I loved that there are so many height options, so I could use the book stand at any height I wanted.
Using it to secure a laptop and thick books
Naturally, you can place a laptop on this portable book stand too. When using a laptop, lift the parts shown above on both sides so the laptop can sit securely, then use it.
The laptop is held completely securely, right? When reading a thick book, raise the protrusions above and secure it on both sides; it does not wobble at all and is so comfortable to use. Before you get turtle neck, give the Sophia Book Stand portable book stand a try!
