Vacation shoulder and neckline care before swimwear: Ryeowon Skin

I'm planning a vacation to Kota Kinabalu, and when you go somewhere hot you've gotta wear swimwear and off-shoulder tops!! For that, your shoulders, neckline, trapezius, and back all need to look nice so the photos come out pretty. So today I went to get dress line care at Ryeowon Skin Care, which is famous for both Nowon body contouring care and Nowon wedding care!

Dress line care — not for a wedding, but for vacation

My shoulders tend to sit a bit raised and my trapezius gets knotted easily, so in photos my upper body always looked kind of bulky. How does the consultation go?

When you walk in they give you a cold welcome tea and start the consultation by writing down your concerns on a chart! At first I talked about the parts that bothered me — I was more focused on my upper body than my face. Since my neck and shoulders get tense often I mentioned the trapezius too, and when I said I had a vacation coming up, the staff got even more into it than me... haha

The first thing I saw walking in was a display of plaster casts from reviews — you couldn't even tell how confident they were — along with the actual products used in the treatments

Seeing the actual products they use gave me confidence that they trust their products too!

The powder room and treatment room facilities

The powder room was clean and well set up! There were products available so it was easy to do a quick touch-up if I had plans after the treatment!

There was a Dyson hair dryer and hair styling tools too, so if your hair got messed up during the treatment, it was easy to fix before heading out!

The treatment room itself was comfortable, and there was a locker inside for your belongings, so no worries about losing anything during the session!

From trapezius to back: the order of treatment

First, lying face down, they worked on the trapezius, suboccipital, and neck side muscles — it felt so good!

I have pretty bad forward neck posture, so the side of my neck — the exact spot they were working on — gets tense often... How did they know to go right for that spot, it felt like paradise...

What I realized during the treatment was that I'd been holding way more tension in my shoulders than I thought. Usually I just assumed that was my posture, but once they released everything from my neck down through my shoulders and back, my body genuinely felt more relaxed. The area from neck to shoulder especially was a little sore at first but got more and more soothing. By the time they moved on to my back, my whole upper body felt so much lighter!

What changed afterward

When I looked in the mirror after, it wasn't dramatic weight loss or anything, but my shoulders sat slightly lower and my neckline looked cleaner.

At the end they give you warm tea like this, and drinking it after the treatment felt like proper healing!
