Dog-friendly Hanam izakaya with daechang nabe and sashimi: Haruto

In short

Haruto is a Japanese-style izakaya on Misagangbyeonjungang-ro in Misa, Hanam, Gyeonggi, where dogs are welcome both indoors and outdoors. At Haruto the writer had a thick-cut assorted sashimi platter and a nabe (hot pot) packed with daechang (beef large intestine), and received a premium sherbet ice cream through a review event. For anyone who wants a calm conversation over drinks and Japanese bar food, Haruto is a Misa izakaya worth returning to.

What is the atmosphere like at Haruto in Misa?

Haruto is an izakaya (Japanese-style pub) in Misa with soft lighting and a wood-toned interior that feels like a local pub in Japan. I went looking for a good izakaya in Misa, and Haruto already had a reputation as a place for a casual drink after work. Having visited, I can see why so many people come. The Japanese-style interior, carefully prepared food and relaxed mood made for a very satisfying time.

The moment I walked in, the soft lighting and wood-toned interior caught my eye. It is more of a place for conversation than a noisy one, so it would be good with friends and would suit a date too. The spacing between seats was comfortable, and it really felt like sitting in a pub in Japan.

How is the assorted sashimi at Haruto?

The menu is varied, from sashimi to fried dishes and nabe, so it is easy to choose to your taste. The assorted sashimi I ordered first had impressive freshness. Each piece was cut thick with a great texture, and it was clean with no fishy taste. Eaten with wasabi, the flavor came out even more.

Staff service and how fast the food comes out

What I liked most at Haruto was the friendly service. The staff explained the menu in detail and quickly took care of whatever we needed, so we felt at ease throughout the meal. The food came out at a good pace, and overall I got the impression they put a lot of care into service.

Misa has all sorts of good restaurants, but if you want a place where you can enjoy atmosphere, food and drinks together, I think Haruto is a perfectly satisfying choice. It works for a casual drink or a special dinner. If you want the particular feel of a Japanese izakaya and tasty anju (food to go with drinks), I recommend giving it a visit. It is great for unwinding after work, and for gatherings with friends or dates, it was a Misa favorite with high satisfaction. The mood is comfortable even late in the evening, which is part of the charm and made me want to come back. Next time I want to return for the nabe and other recommended dishes.

Is the daechang nabe at Haruto worth recommending?

I recommend the nabe at Haruto!!!! It is packed with daechang.

The daechang is tasty too.

Another charm of Haruto is that the menu changes with the seasons and uses fresh ingredients. You get slightly different dishes each visit, so there is fun in trying something new. It is not just a place to drink; the dishes themselves are well made, so it works perfectly well as a meal too.

The basic side dishes served along with the meal also felt made with care. Thanks to the attention to small details, I enjoyed the meal from start to finish. The plating was neat and great for photos, so it was satisfying to post on social media too.

How are parking and access at Haruto?

Parking at Haruto is relatively convenient, so it is good to visit by car, and its location in the center of Misa's commercial area makes access excellent. New restaurants keep opening in Misa, but it is not easy to find one that balances food, atmosphere and service. In that sense, Haruto was a place I was very happy with for the first time in a while. I especially recommend it to people who would rather chat calmly over a meal and drinks than sit in a noisy bar.

I think it is a good place when you are unsure where to have dinner or want a light special-occasion mood. If you want to spend a relaxed time with good food, I recommend visiting Haruto, the izakaya in Misa. After one visit, you naturally understand why it has so many regulars.

Haruto's review-event ice cream and dog-friendly terrace

At Haruto I got a premium sherbet ice cream as a review event gift. You can get it through the review event, or they sell it in the shop, so I highly recommend it.

Haruto also has outdoor seats. Dogs are welcome both indoors and outdoors, which was so nice. I want to come back next time.
