Why Imga-ne Ureong Ssambap for a Palgongsan fall date
Imga-ne Ureong Ssambap (임가네우렁쌈밥) is a ureong ssambap (snail and leafy-wrap rice) Korean restaurant on Seochon-ro in Dong-gu, Daegu, on the road up Palgongsan. My husband can't eat just anything because of his diabetes, so on a date for two up the mountain, we stopped here for healthy food.
Have you seen how pretty the sky is these days? I honestly can't even describe it, haha. Today it was just me and my husband on a date at Palgongsan, haha. Those who know us know he can't eat just anything because of his diabetes. Today I came to Palgongsan for healthy food with absolutely no worries on my mind ^^
Imga-ne Ureong Ssambap location and hours
The address is 126 Seochon-ro, B-dong 1st floor, Dong-gu, Daegu (lot-number address: 237-1 Songjeong-dong), and it is open daily 10:30–20:00.
The view on the way up Palgongsan
The sky was so pretty that day, and so was the road up Palgongsan. There wasn't much fall foliage yet, but the trees were slowly changing their clothes, you could say??
Is parking easy?
The parking lot at Imga-ne Ureong Ssambap was big. Even though there were really a lot of people inside, there were plenty of spaces.

Sikhye and coffee for dessert, and the space on the right
Imga-ne Ureong Ssambap has dessert ready, with sikhye (sweet rice drink) and coffee on offer.

There was a space like this on the right side of the restaurant, and it felt like somewhere you'd light the wood stove in winter, sip a coffee and go "wow, this is so good." Nobody was eating meals there, so I don't know if it's a dining area. It just had a dessert kind of mood.

Interior atmosphere and group seating at Imga-ne Ureong Ssambap
The interior of Imga-ne Ureong Ssambap was comfortable, from the chairs to the feel of the space. When we first walked in it was so full of people that I couldn't take photos, so I took them on the way out, haha.
In the space through the left side, there was separate group seating.
Oh, here's a photo, haha. I snapped it quietly while it was full of people. I do blur out faces, of course, but the people being photographed may not like it, so I was a little careful. There were lots of older customers. It seems like a perfect place to come with older friends.
A ssambap set with boiled pork and grilled mackerel
What we ordered at Imga-ne Ureong Ssambap that day was the ssambap set that includes boiled pork (suyuk) and grilled mackerel.

Here's what we ordered, with boiled pork and even grilled mackerel included. A real full spread, isn't it?

Every side dish was neat and tasty. The seasoning felt like a hanjeongsik (Korean full-course meal). Imga-ne Ureong Ssambap seems just right for bringing your parents or friends.

Unlimited wraps, perfect for a country-taste couple
Imga-ne Ureong Ssambap lets you refill the wrap greens as much as you like. It's true that my husband is being treated for diabetes and we hunt for healthy food, but we also just like this style anyway. Maybe it's because we're country people, hahaha. The things we grew up eating in the countryside are still so good to us even now.

How were the boiled pork, grilled mackerel and snail ssamjang?
The boiled pork at Imga-ne Ureong Ssambap was tender, the grilled mackerel was perfectly seasoned, and the snail ssamjang (wrap sauce) had a great texture. Every single wrap was precious and really delicious.
The boiled pork was really tender and tasty, and the grilled mackerel was seasoned just right. I told my husband, "How is the seasoning so perfect?" lol. The mackerel was really good and every wrap of boiled pork was good too. The snail ssamjang was totally amazing, haha. The texture is so good, haha.

A special, tasty, healthy meal. We had a lovely lunch at Imga-ne Ureong Ssambap at Palgongsan, Daegu. It was a really delicious day again today.
