Suseong Market Mexican restaurant: warm tortilla fajitas at Habanero
In short
Habanero Daegu Sincheon is a Mexican restaurant in Sincheon-dong, Suseong-gu, Daegu, a 5-minute walk from Daegu Bank Station. On a sunny day after visiting Suseong Market, the writer booked through Naver, sat by a second-floor window and ordered a fajita platter for 2 to 2.5 people (42,000 won) and a grapefruit ade (4,000 won). The warm grilled tortillas, smoky meat and plump shrimp stood out. Habanero Daegu Sincheon is worth recommending in Daegu for its atmosphere, food and friendly service.

The weather has been so gorgeous lately~ I finally went to Suseong Market to buy some tteok (rice cakes), and then headed to Habanero Daegu Sincheon, a Mexican restaurant known as a taco spot in Sincheon-dong, Daegu. 🍽️

What kind of restaurant is Habanero Daegu Sincheon?
Habanero Daegu Sincheon is a Mexican restaurant in Sincheon-dong, Daegu. Its signature dishes are fajitas, where you mix fresh ingredients in all kinds of combinations, and beef quesadillas. The new chipotle bowl is popular too.

Habanero Daegu Sincheon location, hours and parking
Habanero Daegu Sincheon is a 5-minute walk from Daegu Bank Station, in the densely residential Suseong 4-ga area. It is open Monday to Sunday, 11:30 to 23:00, with last order at 21:30.

We booked ahead, and after they checked our reservation we were shown to a second-floor window seat. Naver reservations are the best~

How do you order at Habanero?
Every table at Habanero Daegu Sincheon has a kiosk, so ordering is easy. (I love an analog feel, so I pulled out the paper menu too.) The menu descriptions are detailed, which makes it easy to order even on a first visit.

How much are the fajitas, and how big is the platter?
We ordered a fajita and a grapefruit ade. The fillings that go with the fajita (lettuce, pico de gallo, sour cream, guacamole, chili con carne and jalapeños) came out first, along with the grapefruit ade.

The fajita is ₩42,000 and the grapefruit ade is ₩4,000. Fajitas are a traditional Mexican dish of grilled beef, chicken thigh and shrimp that you wrap in tortillas with vegetables.
Our fajita was 2 to 2.5 servings, and the pan was more generously filled than I expected. The shrimp were nice and plump, too.

They also served the tortillas warm, and I was really happy with that touch. Toasty right down to the last one~🌿 The grapefruit ade was nice and strong, so I enjoyed it to the end. 🍊
How to wrap fajitas in warm tortillas
The best thing about fajitas is mixing them however you like!! You can also check the tips for eating fajitas on the kiosk screen at Habanero Daegu Sincheon. Spread sour cream and then guacamole on a tortilla, add pico de gallo, lettuce and so on, then pile on the different grilled ingredients from the pan.

My very first fajita wrap~ ♡ haha I put in absolutely everything I could!!! I like stuffing it so full that you can't even taste the tortilla.

One big bite, nom~~~ and a triumphant smile! Yes, this is exactly the taste!!!

The grilled onions, beef and plump shrimp go sooo so so well with the sour cream, guacamole and pico de gallo spread on the tortilla. It's a festival in my mouth.
Wang Gusseul said he'd line up the sauces in the colors of the Mexican flag,,

✔️If you stack the tortillas on your own plate, you can eat to the end without getting sauce on your hands even if something drips,,, haha we only moved them to a plate after finishing the first wrap;;;
✔️The grilled meats are infused with a smoky flavor that boosts the savory taste as you eat.

The jalapeños are spicy-sweet, and adding them to the filling keeps things clean and refreshing to the very end. (We cleaned out the jalapeños too~~haha)
What are the 1st and 2nd floors like?
The first floor of Habanero Daegu Sincheon has exposed concrete, wood and soft lighting for a relaxed mood, which seemed good for dates and also for small gatherings.

✔️They have baby chairs too, so thumbs up for a family meal out~!
Unlike the interior, the staircase between the first and second floors has white walls, so the two spaces feel clearly separate.

The second floor feels like a continuation of the first-floor interior, but the full-length windows make it a bit brighter. There are various tables and seats, so you can choose depending on the kind of gathering. (There is a unisex restroom.)
Second-floor self-service corner
- Individual plates, forks, knives, spoons and napkins are set out, so you can help yourself if you need more during the meal.
- There's a water purifier too, so feel free to use it. (No need to hunt down staff each time, which is nice for everyone~^_^)

Does Habanero offer takeout?
✔️At Habanero Daegu Sincheon, every menu item except the fajita is available for takeout.
The stylish interior, the food, and above all the friendly staff make me want to come back to Habanero. I recommend it as a Mexican restaurant in Daegu.
