New roastery café in Hapjeong: Gesha vs Entre Volcanes, Central Site
In short
Central Site Hapjeong is a newly opened roastery café about 2 minutes from Hapjeong Station in Mapo, Seoul. The writer, a regular at the Yeonhui-dong branch, smelled the beans first at Central Site Hapjeong, then tried an Ecuador La Noria Green Gesha anaerobic washed brew, a Guatemala Entre Volcanes 2026 washed brew and tiramisu. Central Site Hapjeong suits coffee lovers who want to compare a bright Gesha with a nutty, full-bodied Guatemala.

What kind of café is Central Site Hapjeong?
Central Site Hapjeong is the new Hapjeong branch of Central Site (센트럴사이트), a roastery café famous even among roasteries for its coffee. I love the Yeonhui-dong branch and used to go there often, so when I heard they'd opened in Hapjeong, I stopped by.

The vibe starts right at the entrance! It's only about 2 minutes from Hapjeong Station, basically right in front of it, so the location is perfect too.

Central Site Hapjeong terrace and interior
The terrace seats really stood out, and everyone seemed to think so too: plenty of people were sitting outside even though the weather was hot.

It had an Australian feel and was so my style that I hesitated, but it was just too hot, so we escaped inside!!

The moment we walked in, the fragrant smell of coffee hit us!

The interior is decorated in a classic style too... between the coffee aroma and the atmosphere, you can tell at a glance it's a place with great coffee.

Since they roast their own beans, it felt like a place you can trust!

Central Site Hapjeong coffee menu and how to choose your beans
The coffee menu starts with the basic coffee line and goes on to various special brewing coffees, the 2026 SS coffees and more. Probably thanks to roasting in-house, the lineup is pretty impressive.

There were so many choices that I really struggled to decide, but they have friendly bean descriptions on display!!

The trumpet-shaped bean-smelling device beside the bean descriptions
I wondered what that trumpet-like thing next to the bean descriptions was... but when you press it, you can smell the beans yourself.🫢 Smelling first and then choosing let me pick exactly the bean I liked!!

After carefully choosing coffee, I didn't forget to order dessert too~~🤍

The coffee was brewed right on the spot, and while we stood watching, the staff explained the beans to us. It was so much fun and I was grateful.

Knowing about it made the Central Site coffees look even tastier..🤤

The carefully brewed coffee was brought to our seats once it was ready.

Enjoying coffee of this quality in such a lovely atmosphere... I was so happy in that moment!

La Noria Green Gesha vs Entre Volcanes: how do they compare?
The two coffees I picked at Central Site Hapjeong were the Ecuador La Noria Green Gesha Lot 1 Anaerobic Washed and the Guatemala Entre Volcanes 2026 Washed. They looked refreshing at a glance and so delicious.

Ecuador La Noria Green Gesha Lot 1 Anaerobic Washed
The La Noria Green Gesha I chose after smelling it! I'd heard the Gesha variety is high quality, and it was indeed a success. It had a bright acidity, but not too much, and finished cleanly, so it was incredibly delicious!

Guatemala Entre Volcanes 2026 Washed
I picked the Guatemala Entre Volcanes because it's a 2026 washed bean!! It stood out for its nutty flavor, with a hint of hazelnut that gave it a premium taste. It felt a bit heavier than the Green Gesha!

What does the tiramisu at Central Site Hapjeong taste like?
The Central Site tiramisu was a textbook tiramisu, with rich, flavorful cream and crunchy chocolate as the kick. Perfect as a coffee companion!
It has a high cream ratio, but the cream is so full of coffee that it never felt heavy and I could enjoy it,

and it melts in your mouth, which made it even more satisfying. I just inhaled it!

Central Site, a new roastery café in Hapjeong: final verdict
I was so happy with both the coffee and the dessert at this new Hapjeong café, Central Site!! It's a place to try something different in coffee, so coffee lovers, definitely drop by~
